Spawnables discussion: buckethead and terrocota

Buckethead and terracota weed.

The toughest mook of all mooks.

Buckethead zombie is perhaps the toughest regular zombie in pvz with his bucket giving him a total of 170 health but he has the same damage as a regular browncoat with hurt and toss 15/25.

Easy:102, normal:136, hard: 170, and crazy: 204.

Has a pirate version like the other regualr zombies.

As of gw2 his signature red stain is gone! I wonder why they removed a this detail, if its because of censorship beacuse it looks like blood than thats stupid as 1. As seen in the concept design for Buckethead Zombie posted on the Plants vs. Zombies Facebook Page, the "blood" may be red paint, as it was supposed to be a painter zombie who used its paint bucket as a helmet. It is unknown if this is still considered canon, though.

2. Did popcap forget that the Zombies have killed people before? Read screen door shield's almanac entry in pvz 1 for how he got the door.

I want my red whatever on buckets dang it.

His counterpart is the terracota weed.

Same health as buckethead but feastivius weeds have 175 and the same damage as other fodder weeds.

Pvz1: plant pots are also plants. Gw2 uses pots as armor. Hmmmm.

Was originally gonna be called pothead weed lmao.

Both have a 2 min. Cooldown in bfn and easily overwhelm defense spawnables due to their armor but I've seen them literally moonwalk past pea cannons who miss every shot like an absoulte chad.

These guys are more rare than the other 2 normal spawnables but they are much deadlier to your defenses and can be extremely hard to deal with on low health.

  • Again, not much to add here.

They'd cost about 1250 I'm guessing if 500 is the cost in coins for the basic versions in my idea for direct purchase.

I like little details so having the red back would be great.

The best of the basic guys and having various typ4es (like pirate, western, and so on), would be nice.

@Iron_Guard8 The red stain should definetly come back as there was never really a reason to remove it.

They should create map specific textures of the basic trio zombies with how they looked in pvz like the mummy or far future zombies. Not seperate characters like the pirate spawnables in 1 but just textured for different maps.
  • Here come the bucket and terracotta brigade!

    Introduction

The Terracotta Weeds and Buckethead Zombies represent the basic Weeds and Browncoats, apart from the fact that they have significantly higher amounts of health, even exceeding the amount of Pumpkin Weeds and Conehead Zombies by a decent amount. This means they can tank damage much more easily than the more basic variants. Like the other Weeds and Browncoats, they have almost identical stats compared to their counterparts.

    My Thoughts

Unless I am wrong, once the Terracotta or Bucket gets destroyed, they cannot regenerate, which effectively mean that they revert to a basic Weed or Browncoat. This does not have much of an impact overall, however it does mean that healing will not provide them with the extra health that they once had. I do not really have an issue with this. Generally, these summonable variants are not tricky to deal with, but because of their improved health stats, they could become a problem if there are multiple or if your damage output is not that great.

These summonable variants seem quite balanced as well, simply having more health than the basic variants, as well as the Pumpkin and Conehead variants, or in other words, they are upgraded versions of the basic variants. While their stats seem fine to me as well like the other summonable variants, I would perhaps suggest the Terracotta or Buckethead variants having a damage increase as well (up to 50% compared to the basic variants as the maximum) or giving the physical Weed or Browncoat a health boost as well, which applies even if their armor gets removed. This expands further on my basic buff suggestions for the Pumpkin and Conehead variants as well.

So in Battle for Neighborville, the Terracotta Weed and Buckethead Zombie are the basic summonable variants, which is quite interesting. They never seem to be too much of a problem to deal with, they would generally just prove to be a nuisance, which is why I feel that my buff ideas could work to make these summonable variants more powerful. The cooldown in Battle for Neighborville seems fine as is. Then again, they are the basic summonables in Battle for Neighborville, along with the Pea Cannon and Rocket Bot, so perhaps it could be changed to have no cooldown at all. I do not know how that would perform though.

    In A Future Shooter

Except for the basic, Pumpkin and Conehead variants, these summonables should be the cheapest ones available, as well as being the easiest to obtain and use. Assuming that we go along with my idea of basic summonables being available at no cost and the Pumpkin and Conehead variants being priced at around 1,000 Coins, and knowing that these summonable variants are not too strong, no more than 2,500 Coins for these summonable variants seems adequate.

    Overall

These summonables should be quite easy to get hold of, as they are upgrades of the basic Weeds and Browncoats (simply only having more health and armor). They should require payment before being available for use, but they should not cost any crazy amount of money, and it should be relatively easy to gain hold of in large amounts if players wish to do that.
