[Steam] PvZ GW 2 does not launch after ea anti cheat screen

after the ea anti cheat loads it just closes and the game window doesn't show up I've tried multiple times and it doesn't launch.  I'm on steam btw

Hello I tried playing with ds4 windows on Garden warfare 2 and bfn and got the same error stating that The software cannot be used at the same time as the game. Please make sure it's not running, or restart your PC.: VirtualController 

I have no idea why ds4 windows would have this problem and would like to hope that ds4 windows becomes whitelisted for the ea anti cheat

Hey @IceShrumm  If you run into any issues with the software you're using, we suggest turning it off before starting the game. Also, try plugging your controller directly into the USB port and playing the game without any extra software. For additional help, please take a look at our detailed article on closing background applications.
