Yeah support for steam deck got cut with the release of the anti cheat for gw2 and bfn, I doubt there's a way to bypass it. Unless you play like an older version of the game but I'm not sure if it'll work or anything. I still hope they update it and fix it.
My brother could possibly help me with that, even if I have to play an older version I just hope it works and can get me to play online or something.
My brother is a huge tech geek and has modded his steamdeck to do crazy things, so it shouldn’t be hard for him to help me out.
EA really should hop onto fixing this whole thing or removing it as it I heard the AC didn’t work as planned and skids are still in lobbies online… also the game in general getting worse.
Well I wish your brother goodluck. Just not sure if online would work but what do I know, maybe you could even get mods working for private play.
Got the steamdeck and GW 2 and you’re absolutely right about it not working normally, it doesn’t even boot up the game and just gives me an error then forces me out…
Sigh… Looks like my brothers gonna have to help with modding it
That's a shame, I hope you enjoy the steam deck atleast. I don't remember why they won't support steam deck, if I had to guess it's probably got something to do with steamOS and the anti cheat clashing, and instead of fixing the issue they just cut support. I could be totally wrong.
