Once you get to level 50, why are you still playing ranked play!?!?!?Is there some sort of reward for playing once you’ve reached max level? If not, then STOP PLAYING RANKED PLAY! At that point all you’re doing is taking stars away from people who need them! Seriously, stop playing ranked play if you are level 50!

There are plenty of players that are free to play and reaching ultimate league. @Azombioso is one of the most knowledgeable people in this forum, and is free to play, only difference between himself and the majority, is that he has been playing this game from pretty much the beginning and so with great patience, and understanding of the game and strategy, he has got himself to that point.Too many people are putting too much worth into the league and the rankings in general. There are some players that are UL that so poach for lower levels, and I don't think that is cool, and I can tell who they are, especially when I as another ULer get matched up and they concede before the fourth round, or even better....before I have finished selecting my starting hand. But that's neither here nor there.I don't think that the OP will grasp what anyone says that is level 50, until you see for yourself. And once you reach ultimate, now I'm not just no longer earning gems for levelling, but I have a hard time getting a game because in casual nobody cares if they disconnected since it doesn't cost you anything.So then we are supposed to just play random battle for tickets to earn our weekly event cards because of finishing the climb early?When the season ends, and all is reset back for the next season, all the ultimate league is demoted to level 30. So then while climbing up the ranks again, obviously we are not level 50 in titles, but all that have an icon of UL from previous season, are still considered to be an ultimate leaguer.And like mentioned in this thread previously, we all face each other all the way back up to level 50 again.And even though I do concede some games, it's a choice of mine and not because I have been guilted into doing so. And even then, I don't just give up on the spot and move on...here's a free win, and good luck with the next 18 or 23 levels... I play the game and if my opponent gives it a shot, usually just before I have to end my trick phase, I will concedeBut again, my choice and not others that are still in the climb

I agree with what@GrinningRuiner said, players cannot improve if you always let them win. All humans must face a challenge in order to learn and advance. Hoooooooowever, I also think that this doesn't automatically mean "set the difficulty to the max".The most optimal thing for a Silver League player, for example, is to face another Silver League player. If they face someone from the Gold or Diamond league, they already have a challenge to overcome, since these players have overall more experience and knowledge from the game, so I don't think it is necesary for them to face the highest players in order to improve.What I've been doing lately is that, if the game matches me with a low league player (Gold or below), I play on "handicap" mode instead of conceding all the time like I used to.This means that I limit myself and my deck (like, not playing any legendaries, just playing 2 cards max per turn, etc) in order to have a more balanced game, and surprisingly, it works.The games are more close and more fun that if I used my 0 cost 6/6 Trickster to kill my oponent on turn 6 or 7. I like to think that with this, I improve myself by training under disfavorable circumstances (like not being able to keep up with the minions on the board and setting priorities) and the other player also improves by facing someone with more knowledge about how this game works.

They had to outplay each other to get there, why should you have it easier?Besides, you want to make it to higher ranks to show off (since you cant understand that ranks are a matchmaking tool and not a trophy or a right) which is pretty much the same reason they want stars beyond ultimate. Besides, casual has far more quitters which ruins everybody's fun.Please don't dictate how others are supposed to enjoy their game.

I think that this problem is more a matter of perspective rather than execution.This problem has been around since the beginning of the game (High league players facing low league players). I remember being crushed by them when I started playing, even on casuals. It wasn't until I reached Gold League that I was able to finally beat an Ultimate League Player.I was so mad at the beggining, asking constantly why the matchmaking would face two players which such a huge skill difference together.I hoped that one day this problem would be solved, and as we can see right now, it is still here and has no sight in leaving any time soon.So, I decided to learn from them. "Why would they play this card?""Why on this lane and not on this one?"And I started recognizing some common patterns among them.Like, not revealing the Superpower you have in hand until you actually need it.This makes the other player play around it. Something like..."Demn, I want to play my super big Poison Oak against Super Brains, but he may have the Cut Down to Size superpower...If he has it, he will kill my plant with just 1 brain, and my turn will practically have been in vain"Things like that.So my suggestion for you my friend, is to deal with it. Some players (like me) play no more Ranked once we reach Ultimate, but some other players will continue playing.Until the matchmaking is fixed (again, we still have no clue when this will be done) I suggest you pay close attention to them.They reached Ultimate for a reason, try to learn from them.

I’ve made ultimate every season and when I’m playing ranked once I reach ultimate, I will usually take them until it’s obvious I’m going to win and then I’ll resign. Stars mean nothing and I’m not trying to keep people from advancing in ranks. That said, if you’re trying to climb, don’t be discouraged when you see a higher ranked player. Most everything I’ve learned in this game was from playing people better than I. Watch what they play and when they play it. Really pay attention to what they’re doing. I gaurantee you it will make you a better player.

They're just playing the options they're given. Your enjoyment at that point is moot. They're well within the rules of the game.

You telling others what they can and cannot play isn't a rule.

And again, since you ignored it... They had to beat each other to get there, why should you have to beat them? They should stop playing ranked so you can get to a rank you don't deserve? Why would you deserve it if you can't beat them?

I have to agree. This is the reason I stop playing league after hitting 50. Not so there's an easier path, but because I don't like playing anything less than diamond. That is where last seasons old ultimate leaguers start up again, so realistically I think that is perfectly fine and fair game

Believe it or not, @bouncingbrick , you're not the first person to make a post like this. As @daalnnii said, it is in place to make the terrible matchmaking this game has ever so slightly less terrible. What do you really have to gain through reaching rank 50? A meaningless badge that lasts only the duration of the next season? A couple of extra packs? There are better ways to get em.
If this is your first time attempting to reach Ultimate, then I understand the eagerness to get there. It's somewhat of a self-achievement. If you are unable to reach it, you shouldn't be aiming for it just yet. If you have reached it in the past, then you will know just how little difference it makes in the grand scheme of things.

What else would you play? Campai......see I can't even make it through that word. Nobody does anything really other than ranked, there are only 2(technically 4 if you count daily challenge and random battles) game modes, and one of them is a joke. So obviously people play ranked

What would you define as casual mode? Campaign gives no rewards after level 20 or something, why would people play it? Ranked is more fun at least because you can beat real people and not just CPUs
