Here are my personal tips to hopefully make it easier for you to complete Space Cadet and Station's challenges overall. Note that you can jump in between forms at any time, so make sure to use this to your advantage. Also, your abilities in one form do cool down while you are in the other. So, for instance, your Space Force and Crater Maker will cool down while you are a Space Cadet, which is useful because when you jump back into Space Station, you will be able to use these abilities again for your challenges. You can use this to your advantage and work on multiple challenges at once this way. Also note that most of your character challenge require the use of your abilities, so bear that in mind. For the upgrade names, costs and stats that I have provided, I used this link on the PvZ Wiki to assist: https://plantsvszombies.fandom.com/wiki/Space_Cadet_(PvZ:_BfN). Now, to delve into the challenges, let's go:
Earn 5,000 XP as Space Cadet or Station.
- Use the Levelling Up upgrade to get 10% more XP from most actions that normally grant you XP, effectively completing this challenge faster.
- If you do 2-3 full games of Ops or Skirmishes in a free-roam region, and complete them successfully, you should complete this challenge.
- PvP is a useful place to try and complete this challenge, because player vanquishes give a lot of XP.
- Giddy Park can be a place for completing this challenge. Shoot any Golden Targets you find.
- Vanquishes, assists, revives, and other things you can go out of your way to get XP for - do consider those!
- You shouldn't have to worry about completing this challenge - you should get it before you complete the rest of them!
Vanquish 50 Enemies with Gravity Smash. #
This challenge requires you to use your Gravity Smash ability to vanquish a total of 50 enemies or more. Now, while this may seem frustrating to complete, Gravity Smash deals quite a lot of damage to enemies you land hits on, about 125 or so. As you need vanquishes, you want to try and target enemies with less health or weakened enemies when you do this challenge. Enemies that don't have a lot of mobility are also good to concentrate on because your Gravity Smash moves relatively slowly.
Tips
- Ops, Skirmishes and Free-roam Fights: Try and get enemies to group up, and try to weaken them first as well if necessary. Then use your Gravity Smash and smash them to the ground! In Graveyard Ops, if your enemies are clustering around your Graveyard, use your Gravity Smash on them!
- Battle Chests and Bounty Hunts: Weaken an enemy if needed, then use Gravity Smash to finish the job!
- Giddy Park (Private with Al): Use Gravity Smash to vanquish Wildflowers, possibly groups of them.
- Bosses and Boss Fights: Damage the boss until it is critically low, then attempt to use Gravity Smash against them!
- PvP Modes: Use your Gravity Smash against unaware targets or enemies with lower amounts of health. Grouped enemies are also good to aim for. Tight spaces are useful, or if you can trap enemies, then start smashing. You could also try and use this ability and attack from behind your enemies.
Upgrades
- Target Acquired (3 upgrade points): You move faster in Gravity Smash, which is really useful for catching up to enemies or trying to vanquish enemies from longer distances.
Land 30 Hits with Big Bang Beam. #
This challenge is, honestly, really straightforward. You simply need to land hits with the Big Bang Beam on an enemy 30 times. You do not need to deal specific amounts of damage, or vanquish them. You just need to successfully hit them, and repeat this until you have fully completed this challenge. It's good to focus on enemies with larger hitboxes, so your shots are less likely to miss, or enemies with more health, so you can hit them more before they get vanquished. You can also use this as a way to weaken enemies before vanquishing them with something else.
Tips
- Ops, Skirmishes and Free-roam Fights: Target enemies with larger hitboxes, or enemies that are closer to you, you will be less likely to miss your shot.
- Battle Chests and Bounty Hunts: Target an enemy closer to you, or an immobile enemy, for instance, Pea Gatling.
- Giddy Park (Private with Al): Use your Big Bang Beam against a Wildflower.
- Bosses and Boss Fights: Use your Big Bang Beam against the boss whenever it recharges.
- PvP Modes: Attempt to use this ability against clustered enemies or immobile enemies, as you are less likely to miss your shots. Also, try and use it when your enemies are unaware, as they will not be actively seeking to avoid it. Try to hide around a corner, activate your Beam, then quickly come out and shoot your laser.
Upgrades
- Bullseye (1 upgrade point). Extremely effective upgrade to use for this challenge. You deal damage with the targeting part of the Big Bang Beam, and each hit you successfully inflict damage using this upgrade, it counts toward a hit for this challenge. By using this upgrade, you will get this challenge done in no time.
Deal 2,000 Damage with Space Force Active. #
This challenge requires you to deal a total of 2,000 damage or more with Space Station while your Space Force is active. This is quite easy though, as during Space Force, you move faster, shoot faster and get your Crater Maker back much more quickly, which you can also use to deal damage. It also lasts for a considerable amount of time. You additionally do not require any vanquishes. Try using this ability against bosses, it is really effective as they have large pools of health where you can sink Space Force damage into. Or, you can Crater Maker while Space Force is active to deal tons of damage, move faster, and begin cooling it down for its next use faster.
Tips
- Ops, Skirmishes and Free-roam Fights: Start shooting as soon as you have activated Space Force! Hopefully you can deal lots of damage, enemies with larger amounts of health are good to concentrate on as you can deal more damage to them.
- Battle Chests and Bounty Hunts: Enemies with more health and grouped enemies are good to concentrate on using Space Force.
- Giddy Park (Private with Al): Shoot Wildflowers when they appear, perhaps wait for them to cluster while your Space Force is on recharge.
- Bosses and Boss Fights: Fire away after using Space Force, or Crater Maker the bosses!
- PvP Modes: Use your Space Force to move around faster, and to continuously shoot at your enemies. If you do that, you shouldn't have much trouble dealing damage. Grouped enemies and enemies with lots of health should be your main focus, but if you can keep dealing damage, you'll be fine. Ok, or you could Crater Maker, it's an additional option.
There are no significant upgrades to help you deal this damage faster. I suggest using any Heavy Helpers if you get the chance so you can fire even more rapidly. I also suggest upgrades that enhance Crater Maker's power if you intend to deal the damage during Space Force that way.
Vanquish Multiple Enemies using one Crater Maker 30 Times. #
For this challenge, you need to vanquish, using your Crater Maker, multiple enemies with a single use of Crater Maker, 30 or more times. In other words, using a single Crater Maker, you need to get 2 or more enemy vanquishes, and you need to do this a total of 30 times. While this may seem quite daunting, Crater Maker does massive amounts of damage to enemies that are directly underneath you. For this reason, Crater Maker plus low health enemies equal free multi-vanquishes. You move quite slowly during Crater Maker, so try and get really close to enemies before you try to Crater Maker them. Another good thing to note is that Space Force cools your Crater Maker down really fast, and you are not required to deal damage either. For this reason, you can essentially use Crater Maker twice in a single session. Just note you need a multi-vanquish for this to count towards your challenge here.
Tips
- Ops, Skirmishes and Free-roam Fights: Focus on enemies with lower amounts of health or that are grouped. Enemies clustering around your Graveyard in Ops deserves to be Crater Maker-ed. Just saying!
- Battle Chests and Bounty Hunts: Use your Crater Maker on multiple enemies that are grouping, if applicable. Weaken them with your other attacks as necessary first.
- Giddy Park (Private with Al): Wait for your Wildflower friends to cluster, then get ready to use Crater Maker on them. Then, do so.
- Bosses and Boss Fights: If there are any enemies accompanying the boss, weaken the boss, then use Crater Maker on the enemy, then the boss, or vice versa.
- PvP Modes: Try and wait for your enemies to group and/or get weakened before attempting to get a multi-vanquish Crater Maker, if possible. Then, use it on multiple enemies and see if you can vanquish multiple. For better results, try to activate this ability behind enemies so they are unaware, otherwise they may run away from it. Enemies that are trapped in a Gravity Grenade or that are immobile in some other way are good to target.
Upgrades
- Afterburners (3 upgrade points): You move much faster when your Crater Maker is active, which is great for catching up to enemies if they are getting away from you. You are normally really slow in Crater Maker so the speed boost will most likely help!
- Assimilate (3 upgrade points): Your Crater Maker's duration gets significantly extended when you get a vanquish with Crater Maker, which is excellent for greatly increasing your chances of getting multi-vanquishes when multiple enemies are nearby for you to vanquish! Very good upgrade!
# Upgrades that reduce cooldown times of abilites, which are Refreshing Revive and Critical Blow, are really useful because you will be able to use all of your abilities more often, completing your challenges faster.
So, the challenges are not too difficult, but they can take some time. To save time, try and jump between forms when your abilities are charging in one of them, so you give them the chance to refresh while in your other form. Vice versa applies. The multi-vanquishes using Crater Maker should always be taken into consideration, because this one can take some time and patience to complete, so if an opportunity to get some decent multi-vanquishes come up, take it! You don't need to bother with passenger forms either, or use your primary weapons a whole lot, because they are not going to help complete your challenges, they are mostly ability based. For this reason, as I stated before, consider using upgrades such as Critical Blow so you can use your abilities even more frequently. I hope this guide was helpful, and I will see you with these guides again when I do Imp!

@TheSprinter85Hey! This is pretty cool, this kind of stuff is usually useful for players even in the future. I remembered playing gw2 and finding 2 years old guides like this one and it's still useful

@DonPanTriste Thank you for your kind feedback. I do enjoy making these guides - so it's excellent when others can benefit from them, even in the future. 🙂 I have been making these guides for a while and I'm always hoping that it helps others in some way.
