Super Brainz Character Challenge Guide - Springening

Hi everyone,

I am going to attach my character challenge tips for this month's Super Brainz challenge tips. By completing all of his challenges, you earn 15 prize bulbs without any extra bulbs you earn during this process. Those bulbs will surely help in making progress and/or completing the prize map. If you're having trouble completing character challenges for Super Brainz or want advice, or any other reason really (I'm not picky), feel free to look here!

NOTE: I have started on each of my Super Brainz challenges, and I have completed one. The completed challenge is "Deal 500 damage with Turbo Twister!"

Take care and stay safe! 🙂

  • @TheSprinter85 👍 If you're not particularly comfortable with Super Brainz (like me! 🤣) I'd honestly recommend doing the challenges in PvE with the "Fearless" upgrade equipped.
If you go into Weirding Woods & target Squash with Ultra Flying Fists that will give you a good chunk of what you need without chasing around after AI. (Only charged fists, though!!)
I got all challenges finished with that & a battle, just rounding off the xp challenge with the first battle chest & that way completed them all in about 10 minutes.

  • My challenge tips for Super Brainz are as follows:

Earn 5,000 XP as Super Brainz!

This challenge should take care of itself, play the game as Super Brainz to earn this one. Use the "Levelling Up" perk if you want to earn 10% more XP from any action (if it grants more than 5 XP in a single bunch of XP), and in turn complete this challenge faster. General PvP should do you the trick as he is an Attack character and his aim is to get plenty of vanquishes, which net decent XP from doing so. As always, Skirmishes and Ops are also effective as 2-3 sucessful runs of one, the other or both should net you this challenge. But the largest thing to consider is that you should complete this challenge before all the rest of your other challenges, so you shouldn't have to worry. But just consider going out of your way if there is potential XP to be had if you would like to complete this challenge quickly, such as going for a revive (he has a shield you can use as well for protection).

Land 200 Hits with Heroic Fists!

For this challenge, you must land direct hits with your punches (your charged Ultra Flying Fist counts as well). This is good against enemies with high health, as they can take more hits, so you can land more hits. For that reason, it's probably best to do this challenge against bosses, as they are easy to hit and you can get many hits on them. Skirmishes and Ops are a viable choice for that reason. If you're doing this challenge in PvP, either try to focus on one target at once and then move on to the next, or try to get in a group of enemies and start punching away to land as many hits as possible. You are not required to vanquish the enemy, just deal damage using your regular or charged-up primary attack. However, for this challenge, most modes are applicable for this challenge, but you may find it slightly more difficult or more time-consuming if you do it in PvP or Battle Chests. Character upgrades that you can equip that could help you complete this challenge include:

    • Ultra Combo, it costs 3 points, you have a four-punch combo instead of a three. The fourth punch, if you land it, deals 50 damage. This can allow you to inflict extra hits.
    • Stick and Move, it costs 2 points, when you land the three punch combo with your Heroic Fists, you move significantly faster for a short time. You can use this to get closer to an enemy.
    • Speed Bag, it costs 2 points, when you earn a vanquish, you punch faster using your Heroic Fists for a short time. You can use this to inflict extra hits.
    • Fearless, it costs 2 points, when 2 or more enemies are near, you heal 8 health per second. Good for extra survival while in close quarters.

Land 50 Hits with Ultra Flying Fists!

Note that to complete this challenge, or to make progress towards it, you must land hits on enemies with your charged-up projectile primary attack, not by simply punching enemies. This challenge requires less hits than the former challenge, but you only earn points by dealing damage with the charged-up attack. Similar to the other challenge, it is good to use this against enemies with higher health as they can take more hits and you are not required to vanquish them with this attack, simply to land hits. This challenge is probably much easier to do against bosses as you can hit them much more easily and can get more hits on them. Skirmishes and Ops are an effective location to do this challenge in as well. If you're doing this challenge in PvP, charge up your attack, preferably behind cover. Then come out, and fire it at an opponent. Hopefully you'll hit them, either way, rinse and repeat. You can use your Hyper Jump Thump to get closer to an enemy as your Ultra Flying Fist has a fairly limited range, or to get away when lower on health. You are not required to vanquish an enemy, just damage them. Most game modes should work for this challenge. A character upgrade that you can equip that could help you complete this challenge is Reach. It costs 2 upgrade points to equip, when you deal damage with your Ultra Flying Fist, it charges up faster if you use it again for a short time, allowing you to deal damage with this attack faster.

Deal 500 Damage with Turbo Twister! #

This requires you to get close to the enemy and then use your Turbo Twister ability to deal plenty of damage to them, therefore this would be effective to use against groups of enemies. For this reason, Skirmishes and Ops will be effective. Turbo Twister is a medium to high damaging ability and rapidly deals out damage. But you must be point-blank range to actually deal damage to them. You can use your Hyper Jump Thump as it pulls enemies towards you, and then use Turbo Twister to suck the enemies in and deal high damage to each of them. You could allow plants to start piling around the Grave-O-Matic in Ops and then launch this ability, as they should be all clustered up. If you're doing this challenge in PvP, it's the same kind of strategy. Try to get the plants to group together, either wait for them to group or use your Jump Thump to pull them together. Then launch the ability. You could even use this against a single enemy, and it should not take you long to achieve this challenge. Just try to remember to use your Twister whenever enemies are close and you should achieve this challenge in no time. Character upgrades that you can equip that could help you achieve this challenge include:

    • Recuperate, it costs 3 points, you gain health when damaging enemies with your Turbo Twister, good for enhanced survival.
    • Fearless, it costs 2 points, you gain health when 2 or more enemies are near, good when using Turbo Twister on multiple enemies to enhance your survival.

Launch 4 Enemies with Hyper Jump Thump! #

There is a catch to this challenge. You don't get this challenge awarded to you unless you launch 4 or more enemies at the same time, not with separate Hyper Jump Thumps. You must launch 4 enemies into the air with the same Hyper Jump Thump. This challenge is not particularly time-consuming, rather difficult instead. However, you are not required to vanquish any enemies with it. It is much easier to complete this challenge with groups of enemies, as you are much more likely to obtain this challenge (well, if there's no grouped enemies, how are you supposed to launch 4 at once?). As normal, Skirmishes and Ops are your best bet as enemies tend to clump together, so it should not be difficult to achieve. If enemies begin to pile near the Grave-O-Matic, you could try using your Hyper Jump Thump. If you're trying to complete this challenge in PvP, you may find it much more tricky to achieve, since you must launch 4 enemies all at once, but you could try using Turbo Twister to pull them first or wait for the enemies to group up and then taking a go at this mission. Finally, you could also try doing it in Private Giddy Park with Al. Character upgrades that you can equip that could help you achieve this challenge include:

    • Hero's Moment, it costs 4 points, if you damage one or more enemies using your Hyper Jump Thump ability, you gain 5 health for each enemy. Good for improving your survival odds.
    • Fallback Plan, it costs 2 points, if you deal no damage with your Hyper Jump Thump, you get a reduced refresh time (4 second) on your Hyper Jump Thump ability, allowing you to use it more frequently.

Using upgrades that reduce cooldown times of abilites, such as Refreshing ReviveCombo or Critical Blow could also help as you can use your abilities more often.

That's it for now! Hope that helps! 🙂

@TheSprinter85 Aww, thank you for accepting my post as the solution, but I don't think there's a right or wrong way of doing the character challenges - your advice is great for people who like incorporating the challenges into normal gameplay 😊
I dislike SB, so just looked for the quickest & easiest way of doing them 🤣

@ToastedSarnie  I like to make the Character Challenge guides to help fellow players if they need help or want tips or advice to point them in the right direction. I write them myself and don't use websites or other information, simply based off my experiences (except when I read which upgrades can help with which challenges). It's clustered and goes on forever, I know, but the players who really need these tips can look into specific challenges or can slowly read through at their own pace.

In no way do I mind other people suggesting tips on my character challenge threads, in fact I really appreciate it if they do. I never thought of using the Squash in Weirding Woods for your Flying Fists, but I suppose it counts as a boss anyway. I do tend to aim my tips towards general gameplay, rather than having to go really far out of your way to complete them (it's not always possible without spending loads of time as well). The other thing I like to do with my tips is to try and get them done relatively quickly, or being flexible and suggesting tips for if players would prefer to do them in general PvP.

Thank you for your help, appreciation and advice! 😃
