Support for online-multiplayer split-screen.

My 3 year old son LOVES playing PvZ. We even bough a 360 used so he can play when my fiancée and I are playing CoD split screen in the other room.
When they said you could play split screen "in all modes" we jumped for joy. Being able to play online with my son would mean he wouldn't be terrible because I could just backpack him.
Now, we can't play online together, and we're both really bummed about that.
PLEASE, EA, make split screen work for online multiplayer modes!!

I agree, would definitely appreciate being able to take split-screen online with my fiancee.
If the devs can make this happen it would be most appreciated.
I was going to buy this today until I found out there's no online multiplayer, I'd love to get this game if that was added.
I thought I was the only one who wanted to play with my Significant other, we bought the game and were let down when we realized that yes it was split screen, but not for multiplayer. We don't mind playing the world mode but you can't do quest together and its pretty limited in general.
- You can't do the quests by special npcs or play aga8nst other real people but every quest on the quest board can be completed in local play, my wife and i have done them no problem. Goto the multiplayer portal and play against bots for the multiplayer quests as well as others, you also can do the zombie and plant quest in the backyard easily by raising the flag and fighting waves of the opposing faction.
I do agree though that it would be nice to play splitscreen against other actual players. As i did fall for the ALL GAME MODES fib as well.....Yes online splitscreen would be great. And that it is missing is a huge dissapointment. Garden Ops is made for 4 players. Playing spltscreen you are limited to 2 players. And there is no AI to fill up the rest of the spots. Playing with a buddy on the couch it is basically impossible to do harder difficulties on your own with just 2 players.
