The account banning cheat in BFN still hasn't been fixed!
Hello @EA_Shepard ,
I hope you see this message and respond accordingly.
To this day, I have not seen EA take any action against the cheat plugins that are being used to ban players in PVZ: BFN. The appearance of such cheats severely infringes on our rights as players. Hackers can destroy the accounts we've worked so hard to build with just a few clicks, while they face no consequences and continue to act with impunity.
In contrast, the same cheat plugin has been fixed in GW2, a game similar to BFN. I fail to understand why, if the ban exploit was resolved in GW2, it hasn't been addressed in BFN as well. GW2 players can now play their game without fear, but we BFN players are still living in constant worry about when our accounts might be destroyed by hackers.
I explained how this works in a previous post, but to reiterate: they use Cheat Engine to search for the victim’s name through the EA App process, then click on “Memory View,” where the victim's PersonaId is revealed. They replace their PersonaId with the victim's, allowing them to log in using the victim's EA account ID. After that, they run a ban script that artificially raises the victim’s rank to over 999999999, which exceeds the game’s capacity, causing it to crash.
Even if EA cannot restore the victim's account, at the very least, EA should promptly fix such a critical exploit, rather than allowing it to persist and affect more players. And if I’m not mistaken, you might suggest that I go to EA Support for an appeal, but I must tell you that this is completely ineffective. It always ends with a generic message like, “We will look into it,” which is nothing more than a brush-off. Worse, my appeal channel was eventually blocked. Why? Because we, the players, are losing our passion for the game due to hackers, and EA responds to this issue by ignoring it? Is it because the player base is small?
If you understood the Chinese market, you would know that PVZ: BFN and GW2 are far from dead here. But it is you, EA, who are slowly killing the Garden Warfare series.
To be honest, I love this game, and I have about 1500 hours of playtime. If it weren’t for these hackers, I might have surpassed 2000 hours. But now, with the rise of hackers, my playtime has stopped because you’ve allowed them to ban players at will without taking action.
I sincerely hope you can discuss this issue with the development team and fix this exploit. Perhaps then, you will be doing justice to the victims like us.
Best regards,
