The future of BfN

Hi guys, I've been reading a few posts about BfN game over and no longer supported... They're not taking the game offline will they?? I love it, despite of the technical issues.

  • @ZombieEaterEJThe servers will still be up, don’t worry. The people saying it is dead are fearing that the player base will disappear without new content.

  • I’m foreshadowing here, but I am hoping that some features of the game, most notably Private Play and PvE regions, can be played offline, so that even after the servers will get shut down and stuff, that we can still do content offline if we wanted.

@TheSprinter85 I hope they will make it playable offline. Then people can still enjoy the free roam regions when the servers are down for maintenance or permanently in a couple of years. It would also grant everybody the ability to collect all achievements later.

@benn1nat0r Exactly. It means the game can be playable even once the servers are permanently shut. You would not “lose all of your hard-earned progress” and maybe EA could make a bit more money this way, through Rux?

We can still play GW and GW2 on their servers to this day which is a good sign. It doesn't guarantee anything, but GW1 was launched in 2014 and you can still play it, no bots and can't play Ops as zombies but I still get matches on PC to this day. It's important to note that you can still buy coin packs for GW and coin packs and the upgrades for GW2 as well. One imagines they're still making some money on those games all these years later.
