@TiltedPixelI'm sorry but I gotta disagree here bfn failed as a game on its own right even if you ignore 1&2, the game was an absolute pile on launch with a multiplayer that couldn't hold stable servers for more than 5 minutes, the devs couldn't fix baseline issues and allowed game breaking bugs and glitches to run rampant for months with new ones that popped up when they take another one down, the playerbase was practically dead not even half a year after launch, non existent marketing, fomo grind quest that locked the only content we got for the most part behind a limited time that was designed to try and force players to keep playing the game, a bad steam release with once again no marketing at all, failure to deliver on promises about monthly updates bringing new characters, ai that cheats at the game to fill dead lobbies, removing gamemodes, a broken rank system and meta, constantly ignoring a community that is willing to offer their suggestions on a silver platter that would just be thrown away, log in issues run rampant and the devs tried to pretend it didnt exist, and constant dev ignorance of game design 101.
Comparing this mess to alien 3 is honestly an insult to alien 3.
@stukapooka If u don't know, one of the pvz devs Jeff Shaw, is now going to be working at Apex Legends. Seem's like this is the end tbh.
@Shadowphinx101Yeah looks like were already in the fate of other EA properties they dragged into the ground by changing them from their core image and giving out unrealistic mandates (rip dead space) they just haven't said it to our faces yet.
I really hope that isn't true, but you may well be right. They have reassigned people around many times over the years, so maybe they just wanted a new team for the next PvZ shooter, which after BfN getting support pulled so fast is certainly a possibility, but it looks very bad right now. Part of why I keep posting is that I want a new PvZ shooter and want to make sure they see that people are still playing GW and GW2 to this day!
- @Iron_Guard8 Heck the reason we got bfn was because the devs of the first two left the team and they probably saw that overwatch was a big seller after gw2 released and decided to copy it.
