The game makes my SSD usage go @ 100% and slow menu

When opening the game, it connects fine to EA servers... However, it's extremely painful to go from one menu to the other. So I checked my CPU. GPU and Memory usage and it turns out it uses 100% of my primary drive (SSD). THE GAME IS NOT EVEN INSTALLED ON IT!!

My specs:

Windows 8

8GB RAM

Intel Q9550 @ 3.4 GHZ

GTX 660 with 2GB

Asus Xonar DG soundcard

Internet connection @ 20MB /sec

...and yes, I run the latest drivers for everything. Any other games run super fine (Watch Dogs, BF4, Wolfenstein).

Something must be wrong with the game.

    i turned off msi afterburner and rivatuner and all is good now. not sure what setting is messing it up. was using it fine the other day but now broken.

    Same here! Turns out it was MSI Afterburner and RTSS that comes with it that prevents the Origin layer to load.
