I join a game. See there's already 2 imps. I leave. Re join, failed to connect. Re join one imp one pirate leave game. Re join fail to connect. Re join. Two pirates...????? HOW ARE YOU GONNA DO THE SQUASH WITH TWO OF THEM??? leave. Re join. All Star. Scientist? :o Select Toxic Brainz. Scientist switches to cosmic brains all star switches to imp. Leave game.
This goes on for about an hour before I just go do Turf Takeover, forget that. And what's up with those games where the 4th person NEVER SELECTS THEIR CHARACTER! They make you wait like 5 minutes, then leave.
After I nailed Epic, I keep playing and try to guide new player via microphone. Few player listens while others simply ignore it (probably they muted me). Then I meet 3 players where they all have microphone and they looks friend to each other. They don't know what is the rule of the game so I explain it to them and they start getting it and able to start making progress.
Lesson learn: Looks, not all people has habit to check youtube first to learn how to play the boss hunt. They try to figure out directly from the game itself and not able to figure it out. Once, I guide them what to do, they're good to go.
I also find that if you tell the things before hand, instead of yelling them what NOT to do (don't shoot the Squash, don't come out from circle, don't eat candy,etc), but tell them what going to happen and what we should DO (Squash going to come up soon, we need to go to roof and anchor by staying inside circle and keep alive, get the bucket and like trick and treat, only the one have bucket can eat the candy), they tend to follow more.
Based on this, I can't blame them, since youtube might be ban in their home country (China for example) and not all them now about Haloween tradition (trick and treat).. So we just need to be patient and better communication and make us better team "leader".
I didn't expect the last part (Better communication and better team leader). Now, I actually enjoy playing Boss hunt for that reason as well.
