The poison Pea

So, every poison character is like a fire one, except unlike them - they deal slightly less damage to recieve a poisoning AOE around them, damaging all nearby you. Well and I believe there is some different in the duration, but that's not too big of a deal.

Though the poison pea is different - in addition to having the regular AOE poison - it also has the biggest poison splash damage of all time. I swear, you can stand at the other side of the map and still be hit by this thing. But anyways, how in the world is it fair for the poison pea to have this massive advantage? I've played the posion pea a good amount from the first game, and i've played against it even more. This thing is overpowered. How it got over to the sequel without being absolutely gutted is beyond me - but what I know is that it NEEDS a nerf. I realize it was nerfed once back in the tactial taco dlc, but that wasn't nearly enough.

You may say that the poison characters are just too weak - but not really, it's just that they are completely overshadowed by the Fire characters, who also are a little too strong. Though that's for another time, especially seeing as the poison pea's degree of overpowered is absolutely silly, while the fire ones are only at a minor degree. (sorry for the long sentences)

  • So what you get 10 damage delt to you? He strong but in no way overpowered sure his splash damage is good but he can get shot down on that roof super easy. He does not kill as fast as any of the other peashooters up close (Expect Ice pea and berry pea) The toxic again wears off petty quick and does under 10 damage when it's done his splash hit damage only does like 10 aswell He;s not OP but just a little stronger then normal

He is certainly easier to use than other peas because of the splash, but not overpowered. Any class can kill it before it kills you with splash damage.

The imp is the only one that may be questionable due to its low health and accuracy drop for extended firing.

Toxic Pea is a super rare, the rarer variants generally have a slight advantage over the lower graded ones...though I'm still trying to find the advantage in electro citron outside of looking awesome.

that said, I haven't encountered Toxic Pea enough to see it being a balance issue.

RNG gave me almost all the engineers and sunflowers, I have no variant peashooters, scientists, imps, or superbrainz.

NoahDBlevins (just to make it clear who i'm saying this to)

The problem isn't ease-to-use, the problem is the absolute massive group damage. You just shoot into the enemy team and you automatically deal a stupid amount of damage while getting tons of kills.

It may or may not be more effective in the gardens and graveyards (or whatever it was called now) mode, maybe also the suburbia - but it's better for it to be underpowered in one gamemode than for it to be overpowered in another. Because at least you can have fun playing as a weak character, as you know what you're getting into, unlike overpowered characters where you have no choice.
