No, Vimpire only gets a boost when he kills something, so what happens in the first two lanes shouldn't affect him. If that strategy worked for you, it was a glitch with your game.

How? The math simply doesn't add up.

Vimpire takes 2 damage and becomes 2/1
it kills first 1/1 and becomes 4/3
kills second 1/1 and becomes 6/5
the second pear transforms and also duplicates itself
Vimpire kills first pear and becomes 8/7
Vimpire kills second pear and becomes 10/9 - and does 9 damage to face

Odd. I would have thought the first pear's transformation when it died would occur before the Vimpire makes its second attack.

the issue is -team-up
the first pear can't transform in the front position as pears do not have teamup. only the transformation of the rear pear produces a copy in front and adds team up as an ability

I moved both pear cubs to the heights lane, then allowed botanist to create two 1/1s on pear paradise and then possessed the zombie on heights. That worked for me.
