Top 12 tips that would make the game better . Worth reading !

Dear Popcap , I have some suggestions how to make this game epic and fun such as the first game . I think that all of us missing  most of these things : 

1. We absolutely need maps like in the first game (NEW) I really liked all the maps in the first game . now I just hated the most of the map in gw2 .  They are too small , opening , and simply not fun !!! At seeds of time , in the second objective , it very very had to capture the garden , because the zombies are too exposed , and were you aren't going , you might get hurt. 

2. Garden & graveyards maps  : Please bring all of the awesome old maps to GW2. I think that those maps are much better

than maps like Great white north and Moon base Z .  

3. Import Gestures + Use all the 4 Arrows or keys (expect when playing solo ops) . I miss all the gestures that i have unlocked in the first game. They were very funny  . please bring them back and let us use all the 4 arrows/keys for them ! Also making some  new cool gestures will be nice too.

4. Unique special events Gifts (NEW) In your 7th birthday on pvz , we didn't got anything that may be related to birthday , just 35k pack , likely in the community challenge chest .  Please design cool costumes that related to the events .

5. When the game will be totally balanced (edited)  ?  In my mind , There are too much unsuccessful and unnecessary balances . Ice citron could be a perfect example for OP plant variant , however that the Party brainz can be used as an example for a weak zombie variant . Please make this game balancing as the first one . In the first game , i used to use the camo cactus , which was awsome for some reasons . now she is

just a bad character ! why you have to nerf camo cactus ?! She is worst enough because of the new maps .

6. Costumes ! (edited) In the first game the accessories were cool and there were a lot of sets that you was able to dress your plant / zombie by them . Now there isn't sets at all and is just gem /gold /silver and this is so unnecessary. And please keep making cool costumes like you did in GW1, because right now , i am pretty disappoint from the most costumes in gw2 . 

7. Engineer's drones  Why not give as the option to switch the new ability to the old drones ? I use them to protect the teleporter from  The Cactus's drones (same level) and now it is too hard . I really don't understand why . 

8. A lot of bugs and glitches  This game has been released too early . You were should check the game before u release it . Really . 

9.  Vanquish Streak bonuses (edited)   'Increasing how much XP/Coins you get as your streak goes on" . This bonuses will be apply only when you protect /attacking the garden , or when you protect/ attacking the graveyard.

10. Coins Instead of XP  After reaching max level with any character , you should get Coins , not XP . 

11. Spikeweed animation  "I miss how chompers spike weed would snare people upside down, it was a very fun animation".  (Originally written by the_jeremy823)

 

12. alternative abilities (NEW) Just think about cool alternative abilities , mainly for the new classes.

    1. Yes. I really thought that the old maps should be back into the game. Good thing that Aqua Center is a zombie version of the Garden Center. I guess Zomburbia has also some references to the Suburbia map from the first game.

    2. Completely agreed. I guess there's only 3 gestures returned. 

    3. I would also love the normal musics returning to the game. And the Super Boss Wave having a better cutscene (on GW2 they only spawn on the map, but in GW1, they have their own cutscene somewhere, like in the sewers, on an iceberg...) and also the music that plays on a specific Boss Wave.

    4. Click here to see some balancing features I made all by myself. WARNING! I don't have the legendary characters to see if they need buffs or nerfs, so don't blame me.

    5. Fully agreed. I want my costumes. I also want the silver/gold/gems/diamond versions of the costumes, but thats not the point.

    6. Actually, that's all Parrot Pal's fault. And also, what is Popcap going to do to the Big Bolt Blaster after that? Well.. whatever... rest in peace Zombot Drone and Rocket Drone. You will be missed.

    7. The only glitch I hate right now is when the Shuck Shot doesn't fire anything (sometimes happens to me)

    9. I agree with that one too. Money is a bit harder to get on this game, and XP is useless when you are already on the max level/rank.

    10. Maybe the Spikeweed animation was removed because it also breaks the coffin armor instantly. However, if Popcap adds this to only happen to players and zombies without screen doors and coffins, it would be great!!!

    1. Heard that the main reason they didn't brought those back was because of imbalance with the nuw class. But if they can change the map to fix those,I wouldn't mind getting them back.

    3.  The music is kinda still here,just remixed.
    4. Reminder that super commando and foot soldier in general still dominate in GW1. GW2 could use a better balance but the first one wasn't lacking problem neither.
    5. Set were from the last major patch from GW1. Maybe they will come eventually.
    6. They want to keep both sniper class with a drone right now,so I doubt it happening. At least Big bolt blaster was a awesome substitute.
    7. Yeah shuck shot (and other abilities) not working usually happen immedially after you use a other skill,would be still cool if they fix that. Like any other gltich obv. Most breaking one is some upgrade simply randomly not working like zoom and speed.
    8. no no no and no, it encouraged too much just staying alive and getting leftover kill instead of actually doing the objective, those don't need to go back,vanquish streak boast is a good enough reason to attempt those already.

    10. Considering spikeweed is notably faster and different (I.E can't break armored zombie). I don't think they can easily bring that back,but getting back those would be still cool anyway.

    So yeah agree with most stuff.

    I tend to stop playing a character when I have maxxed them out.

    So you changed some things? Ok. I'm reading everything again.

    1. I want some old maps back (doesn't matter if the regular version or a zombified version). But I don't agree about some maps requiring only a certain class. Unless it's a specific game mode.

    3. RIP music tips! ;-;  Ok, ok. I know that all the musics are still in the game, but I still want the Super Boss Theme at the Super Boss Wave.

    Anyway, I would love a birthday costume to one of my characters.

    1. I like the new maps despite some balance issues with teleporter and turret placement but the old maps were great fun too. I want to see all old maps return. Turf Takeover like solely Gardens & Graveyards before it has always been the most popular mode for good reason but the old ones like Crash Course, Jewel Junction, Chomp Town, etc., are too good and Popcap put too much work in them to not advance them to the new game! If they need to adjust the maps for the size of the mechs and/or some balance tweaking so be it.
    1. Some of the old gestures are so good. I especially love all the air guitar moves, especially on my sunflowers. While I don’t mind only having 2 at a time, I also wouldn’t mind having 4 at a time like we used to either. Some of the new gestures, especially two of the foot soldier’s are excellent but like many of those that played the first game, we need all those classic ones back!
    1. Agreed. Holiday consumables and events, costumes, and the like are always welcome.
    1. Balancing is an ongoing process and while I do feel they have made some strides, there is still work to do. The 1st game had some of its own balance issues such as the Commando variant of the Foot Soldier and the frustration of being a Chomper where all the foot soldiers were up on the roofs. There’s too much overlap between what a character’s role is suggested to be and other characters’ roles such as Citrons sniping from extreme range which is the purview of Cacti as one glaring example. Let’s get the classes balanced and fit to roles as closely as we can. One reason balance is more difficult here than in GW1 is that both sides now attack and defend. When zombies attacked and plants defended it was much easier to do so. I’m curious how often the teams win in the modes where both sides are essentially on the attack (Gnome Bomb, Suburbination, Team Vanquish, and Vanquish confirmed) compared to the Turf Takeover mode.
    1. I do want those old pieces back and themed pieces where they are designed to work together as a complete costume are cool for sure but some of the new pieces are amazing. The Pirate’s storm cloud hat, the various legendary hats that animate on vanquishes, and some of the other new pieces are so good. I do wish the ‘bling’ versions were separate like they were in GW1 though.
    1. My first thought is that Captain Deadbeard’s parrot is meant to take the place of the engineer drones but since the work on the animations and the drones and their attacks are already done, having them as an alternative to the Big Bolt Blaster seems a viable idea. We need more alternative abilities anyway.
    1. This is a common theme in today’s gaming unfortunately. They have made strides to quash the worst bugs like the having to replay the intro every login which got annoying. Bug smashing is a lot like balancing; an ongoing process but I overall agree with you.
    1. Like Boolerex I don’t want more incentives to not focus on the objective. Since it may be hard for the game’s algorithm to judge when a vanquish is helping the objective and when it isn’t, it may be best to leave this out.
    1. I certainly like this idea. With 4 characters at master right now I’m focusing on other characters but getting coins instead of XP, even if only a small percentage of the XP we would have gotten is a great idea.
    1. I do like the old animation a lot. The new one is much simpler and less interesting if serviceable. I’m mostly neutral on this one but would love it back.

    I would like Chompers to get the armor breaker bonus back. When you eat a coffin, outhouse, screen door, etc. off of an armored zombie you used to get coins. It would be nice to get XP for that again. It was often a big help when dealing with a lot of summoned armored zombies for sure.

    Consumables. I really want the old ones back and to see some new ones. I especially miss the barrel pirate’s muffled: “Arg, brains!” as it walked by and such standbys as the fire pea are missed as well.

    While the levels load much faster than GW1, the screen goes black partway through and it makes the splash screen fade out too quickly. Having last a little longer to make it easier to read the description and the often amusing tips would be a nice change.

      

     More of a QoL issue but we need more places to put those epic decorations we have! Only 1 spot right now and I had to put the Megaflower Lighthouse in that spot of course! So many cool decorations we can't use at the same time.

    09. No. Streak multiplying bonuses kind of promote camping to protect your streak.
