Trading system

Trading system?
Hello I am hunter,I right this post hoping a dev of the game reads this and adds it into the game.I propose that the creators of pvz add a system between players that lets them trade items between each other. The tradable items will ultimately be up to the people who implement this(if they do)but the items I suggest should be tradable are coins, stars, character variants/sticker pieces(I personally don’t care one way or another)accessories, Etc.

My back story with PvZ
I have been a fan of plays vs. zombies for a long time.I got the first one on my iphone and played it vigorously until I beat it feeling extreme satisfaction upon doing so.I later found out pvz 2 came out for iPhone so I downloaded it finding out that the game was like the previous one except further expanded on making me extremely ecstatic.Upon hearing that they came out with a new pvz game for Xbox I then proceeded to go to the store to see what it was like.Honestly I was hesitant to play it at first.A third person shooter based around plays versus zombies?I bought and downloaded it because I had nothing better to do to find that I loved it.The mechanics, playable characters, in-game currency/shop machanics made me always coming back to play more of it spending hours on both sides.I later bought an Xbox one and started getting into call of duty when I heard about pvz gw2 coming out.I was exited yet devastated, one of my favorite game series’s we’re making a sequel yet I didn’t have the money for it.Sadly I forgot about until a few weeks ago when I bought pvz gw2.It engulfed me with happiness to play gw again but with more characters, more character variants, single player story for both plays and zombies yet something felt missing.I tried to get my friend to play it with my but it doesn’t hold his interest with how fast he dies so that got me thinking. What if they added a trading system? Then I could give my friend a plant pea and Dr.toxic or something of that nature for little to no coins so I could have a friend to play pvz gw2 with and my friend would be able to enjoy the game without dying quickly.

  • It’s definitely a cool idea. The only thing I see becoming a problem is older players taking advantage of younger players.

The problem I see is the main use for such a system is to obtain limited edition items. (Everything else is obtainable with time.) But, what could a new player offer to an older player that could possibly be worth limited edition items, even then, who would give them up? Don't get me wrong, there are several items I would like to add to my sticker book and trading is one way to do it.

The other problem is a trade option will legitimize sticker value. The way things are stickers have no actual value, one person or ten thousand people can have an item and it makes no true difference. (Aside from Egos) Once a sticker can be traded things like the Unicorn Chomper and holiday items gain value through their rarity. Trading may seem like a good way to get missed stickers but in the end it is more likely to ensure they are never re-released again. (Imagine if RUX abilities became tradable and so they never re-released them if fear of angering the player base because they devalued their stickers.)

  • Older as in age. Not necessarily a player with more time in the game. This type of thing happens all the in other games like GTA. You’re right, who would give them up? It doesn’t make sense, I know. But it does happen even though the logic is not there.

I meant older as in a player who has had it longer. I couldn't think of a better term. (experienced didn't sound right since playtime =/= skill) But, you did add a good point, even if it doesn't make sense it does happen. Though, I figure it will be so rare it doesn't justify adding the system.

Honestly, it makes more sense to just make everything available once the time gates are no longer needed. GW3 comes out and they don't want to deal with it anymore. Alright, RUX is now a permanent fixture and his inventory resets each time you buy something. (Buy a RUX ability and it will refill with another random sticker. The more of your stickerbook you have filled the more likely it is RUX exclusive until all he sells is consumables.) Once whatever they are buying time for comes out there is no reason to time gate anything anymore. Problem solved, no trading system needed. The only flaw comes from the boss hunt drops, which could either become a permanent portal fixture (like private matches now) and simply require you build a team before entering (which would likely help anyway) or be added into RUX's inventory at a price.
