Ultimate League Spudow Deck

It's that time again! Every season I showcase the deck that got me there the fastest. This one is a real treat and has a high win rate against the current meta!

Strategy is simple. Bullseye early game, Hibernating Berry and Grizzly Pear late game. Your worst competition is the usual deadly imps. You'll be in a fight for who has the better aggro. I've won as early as turn 5 and I've also had many rage quits (snapped one before he disconnected in the third picture).

If you don't have the money for Kernel Corn, I suggest replacing them with Cherry Bombs instead. 2 less sun, 2 less lanes, and no lane coverage after it goes off, but it helps your lane clear when you have a couple Hibernating Berries buffed up.

Hot Lava is MANDATORY as it's the bread and butter of forcing your damage onto passive opponents and Photosynthesizer helps keep your Galacta-Cactus alive long enough for you to get your Pear onto the water or your H. Berry on the board.

General tips:

- Say goodbye with fearing any Barrel of Deadbeards! They only help.

- Galacta-Cactus is great against 3 hp zombies. You can purposefully suicide one to not only kill the zombie, but boost your Berry or Pear.

- Placing a Grapes of Wrath on Hot Lava is fun to watch. You basically have a ticking time bomb unless they change the environment.

- Save the Berry Blasts until the late game when possible. I've won many games on this card alone.

Have fun! 😊

  • Lava is for sure a nifty (and exploitable) environment. I had a similar idea... the deck is probably less competitive, and I’m not trying to compete, but I thought I’d post because the core is quite solid and much the same (gloves, lava, hibernating berry, pear cub). Instead of your timebombs I went the nut route, because I thought using Lava to hurt one’s own Mirror Nuts was hilarious... and nuts can protect your Berries and Grizzlies if you aren’t playing board wipe.

If there’s anything I’d reccomend from my version, it’s the 3/2 Lava/Fireweed split. Fireweed is a nice and versital little bugger. Of course... you can see I’m not playing Berry Blast, which might be the better 2-drop for this hero.

They both look fun to try, although for my part I never got along well with the nuts and galacta, but just for fun I would try again 🙂
