Unable to launch PvZ BfN

I could previously play PvZ BfN (PC), but after updating the game, it won't launch. I can connect to Origin no problems and I get the launch screen, but then I get "Launch Error Unexpected error. (0x...

Hi, To run a game/app as administrator, you can find the game/app's .exe file, right click that and choose to "run as administrator".

However I don't think that'll help here and In this case I think there's an issue with the Easy Anti-Cheat.

Can you go to your games install folder, then the \PVZ Battle for Neighborville\EasyAntiCheat?

You should see an EasyAntiCheat_Setup, please run this then choose "Picnic" and run a repair. You can then try launching the game again and see if anything changes.

Just for some context, "Picnic" was BFN's working title.
