Unable to make in-app purchases, pc/steam

On PC, purchased through steam, in-app purchases not working. I get the loading flower image and after a long time "Unable to process purchase". I logged into my ea account on the web and found a spot to store a payment option, i previously had none. I added a valid card and relaunched the game but still the same issue. Please Help!!!
