Unfair Torch and Tail Upgrade

I agree... it is a bit of a slap in the face for those that had the patience, determination and loads of time invested to get those characters, particularly as they seem determined to keep the unicorn chomper exclusive and the controversy that seems to cause. {I'm not the slightest bit bothered about not having unicorn chomper... but I do wish they would remove the empty chomper space in the bobleheads}. But look on it this way... we know how we got the characters, the 'proper' way, 😃

and to be honest it is not a surprise, when they teased the customisations it was pretty obvious that were going to have to make torchwood and hovergoat available to everybody somehow.

But I love this game far too much to give it up just because of that... and I hope you change your mind, we should be trying to keep this game alive 😃

Yeah, I see what you mean, and I have given it a chance this morning. Its just disheartening, especially when I end up on a match with 5 Torchwoods and 3 Hover goats, only one of them being more than a beginner for that character.l and the others having clearly only just got them when it took me a very long time to earn them. Its not just this that's put me off the game though - with the constant glitches and increasing amount of technical issues that nothing is being done about, I really dont enjoy it any more and this is more the final push to put me off it. As a game, it was far better when I first started playing it a few years ago where there weren't as many bugs and you had to earn characters etc. It was more challenging. Now you just pay to play pretty much and its full of issues that aren't getting sorted

I hear ya....

I only found the game last March sadly so I have less time to become jaded with the whole thing but I understand folks frustration about all the issues involved, which appear to be many. And I don't know why Popcap/EA make the decisions they do... they say they listen to the community but sometimes it is difficult to see what about.

There is so much negativity about the game that I think I may be trying to get the most out of it as I can before as every man/woman and their dogs proclaim... 'the game is dead'.
It is such a brilliant fun and interesting game I will be very sad when ever that happens.

In the meantime I shall try to keep positive and keep playing in the hope that we can either keep this game alive and sort the issues or maybe GW3 arrives (with a whole set of different issues) 😃

Based on this, more likely EA will eventually offer Unicorn Chomper for cash. Why not? Especially if GW3 is not on the radar. 

I mean, did you see all of those torchwoods and hover goats, in their new uniforms, for what 2 or 3 days? Could have least created actual variants (toxic, ice, electro, etc).

Maybe when GW3 launches in 2020, they will give a unique customization to all of the 54/55s. LMAO.

I wish players could get them for coins from Rux. EA forced them in a typical $10 pack. For some players they were impossible to get. I'm happy they can get them. I just wish for coins.

Agreed it took some time to earn. I did both trials for two accounts, (son and daughter). Weeks of collecting rainbow stars but it was fun. I  unlocked them about 6 or 7 weeks ago because I've only had the game for 4.5 months, so I haven't even played them yet. I think the option to buy is a cool idea though. My thoughts: It will bring more players to the game and hopefully retain players that haven't had the time to earn them how we did. It was really cool too seeing several torches in TT those first few days. And I had a tremendous amount of fun sending ZPGs downrange leveling up several soldiers!  Just my opinion! Great game and would definitely earn or purchase unicorn chomper if given the chance too. Unfortunately just started playing GW1 a few days ago. Cheers!

I never noticed this game before it became free on Xbox Live Gold and I've been playing for 15 yrs. So before I realized that all these updates had been made and that these characters were for sale, they stopped being available for sale.   I rarely see them in MP games and happy when I do. Please put these back up for sale or maybe in a new Community Challenge. Maybe a super pack for sale I will be watching for any new editions of the game. I know I couldn't have done the original challenge anyway. I love the Hero Showcase. What about doing it that way?

Thank you. I was hoping for that. I saw someone with a Torchwood that had flowers growing on it. So of course I wanted one. I am very lucky that someone got me through the current trials. I enjoy doing the quests!
