How many people would rather be able to simply unlock legendary characters rather than play infinity mode?I've wasted a few stars on it now, and I'm feeling more and more like it is unnecessary as well as unfair to those of us who game without others. Please put in feedback as I would like enough momentum to initiate the change.Infinity mode is boring, strains the eyes, and gets impossible fast. To unlock legendary stuff you must earn too many coins; and personally I'd rather not deal with it as the real fun is multiplayer anyway.Cmon guys(and gals) help me out. Remember that if they did initiate a change YOU won't have to deal with it either!

I'm sort of with you. I have only played it twice (the 2 times at the end of solo campaigns). I did extremely poorly then mainly because I had no idea what I was doing. I mostly solo stuff (will occassionaly play with friends). I am planning on getting my missus to help me on split screen though, and a mate is going to get the game and wants a bit of a hand. So getting the legendary stuff is probably going to be within my reach. However I don't really want to spend 5 stars each time, and I'm not really keen to spend what appears to be an inordinate period of time in a horde style game mode - for the possibilty of getting some elite stuff. This reminds me far too much of other games (cough....... Destiny), and personally I thought PopCap and garden warfare were better than that. At the time they probably thought it was a great idea, but it just might come back to bite them on the bottom. Sometimes you can be a little too clever. I think they should incorporate acquiring these legendary characters somehow into the main game/modes (not an add on mode tacked on at the end). I'm a 313'er so I'm more than happy to work for them, just not this way. If the dev wants to keep it the way it is - then like the rest of the game, they should open it up to playing with AI support, and definietly get rid of the star cost - that is a particualrly dumb idea.

Since you seem unable to actually point out one good reason for making it so the only way to get legendary characters is through sticker packs, I'm done with this debate. I think I've made my case, and anyone who came here to debate it can clearly see you have no argument, or no argumentative skills, and apparently only want Infinity Time gone due to a lack of your own skills.

Pause button would be a start... Never understood why you can't pause during single player in PVZGW... What I'd really like to see are 2 changes:1) Make the mode shorter. I played to wave 25 last night (not enough to get legendary pieces) and it took around 55 minutes. I can only assume 1.5-2hrs for a solo legendary run. Multiplayer seems to move a bit faster. It really sucks that you have to sit there for 2hrs without an break whatsoever... If your phone rings or you get a knock at the door, you just wasted your time. That is where the pause button would come in.2) Allow us to save shards and purchase the chests. This will still penalize worse players by making them spend more time and stars to get the rewards, but it will allow them to eventually get them...I don't mind the mode being here. I don't mind there being good rewards. That being said, I find no entertainment value in this mode. It is long, boring and repetitive. The fact that you can put dozens of hours into it and not get the reward you were working toward just makes it that much worse.

At first I thought I'd never get the legendary characters because infinity mode seemed impossible to win. Then I found out shards healed and you didn't need to pick them up before the level ended. After that it was pretty easy just had to leave enough heals laying around for when things got tough. Compared to getting the coin legendary characters this is way easier , I still haven't got a single legendary character part after wasting hundreds of coins.

Why is everyone whining about it? I don't play with other people either, but you know what I did? I came here to the boards and sought out people that did want to play.

I got all 6 party variant characters within a couple days by doing infinity runs with 1-3 other people FROM THE BOARDS at different times.

It's not hard when you know how to play it. You guys just aren't putting in the effort to really do it.

They should add a free practice mode or lower it to one star so people can at least get some experience at it before throwing stars away.

They give you two free tries. Which is more generous then some things. Also, once you've opened all the chests in the backyard....stars are only for Infinity Mode. Or I guess, leveling.

EDIT: I mean I really don't understand why it's a big deal that it uses stars. What else are you going to do with them? Anyone who plays the game frequently will get all the chests open within the first month or two. And the stuff in the chest isn't even that great. So what? Level up? Just play as the character.

My graduate degree says I've been there and done that already. But if you played the mode as it's supposed to be played, and put work into making a Party to unlock the PARTY characters, then you wouldn't be complaining. Half the time you get both pieces, or at least 2 stickers for separate characters. If you don't want to play the mode, then you don't have to unlock the characters either. Have fun playing the characters you have unlocked. 😃

You wouldn't be on level with anyone. For the fiftieth time, just getting a legendary character doesn't make you better than or equal to someone else with a legendary character. Your personal skill level will still determine how good and/or bad you are at the game.

And more importantly, you don't have to do Infinity Time to get legendary characters. You can only get the Party variants from Infinity Time. Other legendary characters are earned through character packs. 35k ones. The Wondrous ones, that give you stuff from both plants and zombies. And it is not guaranteed to happen. If they remove Infinity Time then the only way to get characters will be from the 35k character packs. In addition to the five million customization pieces. Chances of getting a legendary sticker from there are slim.
