@TheSprinter85Gw1 upgrades had some fun little descriptions but they were permanently attached to the character once you unlocked them. Although you can see weapons change appearance to signal that these upgrades are attaches like the archaeologists gun gaining the the three cobras or all star gaining beefier rotors. Not a fan of it though as you didn't unlock them from progress but rather rng through packs.
I personally think a good upgrade system would be the simplistic style of gw2 but with the point limit of Bfn that way people aren't just spamming ammo, damage, and reload. The icons appearing on death would also be good as gw2's upgrade icons are way better to recognize than Bfn's which have many share similar icons.
