I feel you. My 2000-gem multipack only got me 1 legendary and no hero. I won't be buying any multipack again. Better to save gems on hero packs that shows up every now and then.
I guess it is a good thing most of the strongest cards in the game are rare or below, haha, I like it how the game allow free to play people stay competitive by making powerful cards available to all.
Except the goal of the game developers is to make money. And the have made it so a lot of legendarys are useless since matches rarely last long enough to use them, or they cost so much and a free-player can beat them using basic cards. It will make less and less people spend money because there's less incentive when you can be just as good by playing for free.
I've gotten more legendarys out of the 8 or so free packs I've opened just from collecting gems in challenges than I did in the 10+1 pack I bought.

thanks, i felt really bummed about not gettin what i expected, and maybe if i get to know the strength of what i got instead, i'll realise that it wasn't that bad after all
