Come on, another thread on this? I get your anger, but please at least check out the titles of other threads.

I was about to blast you but I'm trying to be better than that. People make mistakes.
Do do me a favor though and look at my original post and the original posts of others on the same subject and get back to me.
That said, I don't blame people for making multiple posts on this. My standpoint is this. As an ultimate league player, I have already accumulated most of the cards and now just have a few legendaries to get and multiples of and a couple other cards here or there so I'm set. My girl however after making fun of me for playing originally has now herself picked up the game and is a 28. Those of us that have been around know that's when the game starts to get tough. I saw Jokers post on the other thread and while I agree getting something for nothing is great, taking things away from players that you were freely giving before is poor form in my humble opinion. It can sour people's opinion of your product and drive people away. Like many posting here at my level this change does little to me but my girl on the other hand is going to have a much more difficult time accumulating cards than I did.
The other thing that that frustrates me a little is the "giving you something for free" response. EA gets money for you watching adds. I'm spending time watching them, even downloaded a game or two from them. EA is still making money. I'm sure this little expirement of there's will show them if people are now spending money or watching ads more or less than before and will go from there. The thing is it rings hollow to me. You should absolutely make money from your games. I haven't spendt a ton, $20 which is more than I've spent on an iPad game maybe ever, but I have watched a ton of adds which generate income form them as well. No one likes to be nickel and dimed.

Exactly. There isnt much a ultimate player can do to gain some gems, some people dont even get the chance to see ads to make gems, some people can watch 20, some can watch like 3 per day (my GF) or sometimes less, why? I dont even know. Its a lottery right now to get gems from watching videos, because you dont know if you are going to get 20 vids or less, and worst of all you dont know if you are eventually going to get the freaking gems after you see the videos since they still dont fix that issue.
Anyway, as someone said before in other thread about this, theres a balance of respect and understanding betwin players and game developers, break that balance and eventually a great amount of your players will be looking for other games to play, i mean, no one wants to play a game that becomes frustrating to keep up.
Hopefuly someone in popcaps or EA can read us and take this subject seriously, i doubt it since the only answer after days from a EA representative wasn't good.

After the brouhaha/kerfuffle caused by changing the 5000 gem superpack to a $40 purchase, one would have thunk that EA would have decided to be a bit proactive by announcing and spinning changes that users will find detrimental and/or negative. Or, you know, honesty in those situations where spinning just won't do. A big problem is that there is no dedicated (or at least regular) PopCap/EA liaison to the forums allowing all of us to voice our discontent unfettered.

It's an interesting business model for sure. EA is obviously a big machine. The admins here appear to have nothing to do with the actual game. This board is clearly for fans of the game to share their experiences with each other not truly an avenue to the developers. I know the message here is that the admins "pass things along" but let's be real, how often does that truly happen? No knocks on anyone. It is what it is and everyone has a job to do. We all obviously love the game or wouldn't be here. It would be nice to have some direct dev involvement so you don't feel like your concerns or comments are falling on def ears. I'm betting that when a company is acquired by EA that direct contact is restricted in order to convey a consistent message across all its platforms. Big business.

Thats my point, yes we all like this game and thats why i said that. I dont want people to stop playing this because if they dont, i wont be able to play either or just keep waiting until someone decides to play for a while (wich is already happening). But this horribles decisions are making people leave how they dont figure that out? I mean they have stats on how many people plays this games i think right? And if they dont hear their own community this will die eventually. Sadly
