@Fork_x_Spoon I really like this thread, thanks for sharing your tips (@mikepal19 and @TheSprinter85 too!) Would you do one for brainium basher (after he's out for awhile)? 🙂
My favorites for dealing with steamblaster include saving pea-souped, getting a last ditch shot in, grody goop and burrow for a steamblaster. Sniping a steamblaster with cactus is satisfying too.
Maybe obvious, but aside from dealing 1v1 with a steamblaster, when on the plants team I really try to pay attention if they are trying to take down my team members. I like blue blazes for this and fully charged thorn apart. Timing is a bit tricky because of warps, but it's possible to pull off if they are distracted blasting your teammates. It's good to watch their steamblast and try to count since they tend to unload all 5 shots and then warp.
One thing I have noticed, if you can run away from a steamblaster, try to kite them towards your team members for the chance that they either back-off or teammates all focus fire.
These are good tips however they imply you can see a scientist coming...any good scientist waits until he can third party you, therefore you're dead before you can even react because you are engulfed in steam in the middle of fighting another enemy.
- 6 years ago@Gormey Yeah, that's why I always stick with my team, so they can back me up in case of a "good scientist" tries to fight me. If I'm not with my team, I just run away. Yes, it's an obnoxious play, but what else would you do?
- 6 years ago@Fork_x_Spoon My reply is how you go against a scientist. If it's not a strict 1v1, then the best advice is to stick with a teammate and keep your distance so both you guys don't get caught in the steam.
