- You get 3 stars per fail don't you?
That's what I got. You should be able to get the stars...
It is very difficult though. you get 2 if you fail at the first hunger pain insta kill which you will
- Oh well we made it to the second Burger thing and there was only two of us because two other players bailed -__-.
I nabbed three stars. yeah * this game mode until either
a) people get good at this mode that i can actually FINISH it in a timly matter or
b) they fix the damn game mode and rebalance it to not be so bull*tingly cheap!
if nither of these happen which i know they wont im not playing this bs mode again ill just leech 50 stars fromn cats vs dinos for that weeks chest and wait until the next crazy mode portal bs
The amount of stars you get varies by how much health the boss has i think because i know for sure they only gave me 1 star after my team wiped out the first run i tried and that was near a full 25min game.
But yes i agree that this game mode is rather unbalanced and the main reason is during his healing phase. You are given very little time to even destory the burgers and they have a decent amount of health to the point where some characters have a hard time destroying them. Even if you do destroy one you are also given very little time to even destory the others that randomly spawn around the map. The only way i find it possible to do this is if everyone splits up which you aren't encouraged to do because if you do people are going to start getting taken out due to the massive amounts of zombies that constantly spawn. Not to mention if your team fails you'll have to deal with a gargantuar and super heroes which wastes a lot of time.
Even if you do destroy all the burgers you are again given very little time to spawn the garden to prevent your team from instantly dying from the boss attack (the game doesn't even highlight which garden to go to so that wastes more time trying to find the right one). Not only does the garden take awhile to rise up you have to deal with several annoying All-star tackle zombies who will constantly knock you and your team out of the garden which is another problem with that phase and the amount of time they give you.
The boss itself is very strong to the point where if nobody on the team is a sunflower (and imo the vampire flower seems to be the only good choice) your team won't survive long. due to the amount of zombies that spawn along with his strong attacks.
Speaking of which as i said before the zombies constantly spawn and there are a lot of them. By the time your team even takes out a wave to get a chance to focus on the boss another one has already spawned and you have to deal with more which wastes more time and you can't ignore them else you'll just make the raid harder for yourself.
The mode itself seems impossible due to the listed problems above with only two players and when people rage quit the game doesn't find others once that sasquatch spawns so you either have to deal with it or wipe out early just so you can get your stars.
If his healing phase was nerfed and they give you more time during it and to spawn the garden i think it would be a lot balanced and more possible to do because i have come close with a few players before until he healed repeatedly during that phase. I really like the mode and do enjoy the challenge of it but at its current status it's really unbalanced to the point that it's near impossible to kill him and the amount of stars you get for surviving the full 25mins but not killing his is very low compared to how much the other modes gave out in that short amount of time
Also you're only given 8,000 coins which is a really pathetic amount for spending 25mins trying to take out a bossI will admit that this one was rough, you get 15 if you complete it was pretty hectic. Team balance is a must I played a sunflower because we did not have one I am not the best at it but I did alright I think. Keeping the trash down was very hard it just keeps spawning and coming at you with incredible amounts of damage.
After killing all the burgers, you must find the garden fast that you need to be in or its lights out, I think its a fun mode but they could turn down the damage some to make it more balanced.
Please don't start the rage quitting that is already happening sometimes you will run into problems but its not fair to the other people in there trying really hard if you bail on them, highest non finish stars I got so far was 5 low was 2.
I went into my trophies and seen that it was on NORMAL??? lol I would have expected craaaazy mode for that kind of damage.
- As said above me, I don't think that Boss Hint is inherently unbalanced, although not telling you about the Garden that can save your team or where it is at is a really cheap move, the primary issues with it is that the players need to select proper character classes to play and have a balanced team and then work together as a team. Voice chat has probably never been more vital to success in GW2 as it is in this game mode.
The teams I played on generally didn't have a problem clearing the Healing Burgers or finding the Garden to spawn if they had played through already and had figured out the bit about the Garden.
Skilled players could generally pick the right characters to play and could stay alive long enough to be healed and people working as a team would normally be moving as a group or in twos so getting revived wasn't usually a problem.
Getting to the end is completely possible, besides the bit about finding and growing the Garden when you eliminate the Burgers, the hardest part right now is getting the players coordinated so that we have the biggest chance of success.
And for the record, the Vampire Sunflower is your best choice since she can self heal without worrying about dropping a Heal Flower. My dark flower does more DPS than some of the people I have played with. 😢
