Hypothetical response. I would imagine Unicorn Chomper would be in the 10+ million coins or even higher. Just by comparison, an ability is about half a million coins, then for a sought after, beyond legendary character, it would be very high. The Uni chomper is beyond rare, legendary, category. Even though it is not super strong, but its uniqueness intrigues those who are purist and for serious gamers who seek to complete the sticker book.
Disco, Torch and goat would be in the low million coins. They are not special characters.
Just my 2 cents.
Not for sale is the right answer but IF for sale, at least 31.3 million which match max rank in GW1.
I suspect we might see a different way to earn torchwood and hover goat some day - probably for real money, like what they are currently doing with the party characters.

I believe the disco chomper parts can already show up.
Honestly, Torchwood and Hover Goat 3000 shouldn't be for sale. The game already has a method to unlock both of them and overall it is very reasonable. (It shouldn't take more than a single month if you keep up with events.) I started the last week of May and unless I run into some bad luck I should have both next event. I know people want them but, I think it would be a big waste of coins. (With RUX's mark ups, you would put more work into getting coins than you would just doing the event.)
Now the reason I am here. Unicorn Chomper. I actually had this thought earlier today as I was filling my RUX fund for his next visit. (I keep 3M on hand at all times so that I am ready when he arrives.) Personally, I think RUX is a last resort for adding the Unicorn Chomper. I would rather...
#1 - The transfer promotion be re-enstated
#2 - Unicorn Chomper be granted to anyone who reaches 50 using him during events. (If you cap him you should be able to play him.)
#3 - Given as a gift for reaching Rank 5455. (Those who have him get a big coin reward instead.)
#4 - The addition of an NPC in Background Battleground which will give the original Unicorn Chomper pack in exchange for a preset amount of coins. (I imagine it would be about 20M, see below.)
But, in the event it is only possible through RUX it would be about 10M per piece. It is my understanding that 20M in GW1 should be enough to reach max rank assuming they are used on 10k packs, and that at least some challenges are done while earning money. If I can find where I saw the number crunching again I will post a link. This leaves the small issue of the warp ability which is locked to the unicorn chomper and is lost if replaced. It was originally given out as part of the pack making it difficult to buy from RUX. You would need the ability to use the chomper but it would be sold separately. (Sorta creates a problem.)
Honestly, looking through everything in GW2 and the many locked, hard to get, limited items, I think the best solution is a new pack type. Something along the lines of 100,000 coins for a pack of 3 cards. This can include discontinued seasonal items (Halloween, Christmas, Easter), RUX abilities (Such as the vampire spikeweed and rainbow flower) and of course the unicorn chomper pieces. (Treated like legendaries in other packs.) Obviously there would need some balancing so the numbers I gave are just a guess but, it would let all players get all items in exchange for play time. (which converts to money) It seems to be a clean, simple solution to dealing with missed items. It pays to keep up with events and promotions but, you aren't punished for missing one. (Its just going to cost you a lot of coins.)
- Unicorn chomper was a reward for the true fans of PVZ that grinded it out in the first one. Most of the complaints are about not being able to get Max rank. However you still can through mystery portal events unless you're in a hurry. Which defeats the purpose of having him at all. He was earned through patience and playing the game. Someone in another thread said all people had to do was buy coins and use skip challenges in GW1. Its hard to do the math since packs are RNG. But even if you only had 10 levels to go, it would still cost hundreds of dollars to get that many skip challenge stars. I get people are frustrated about not having all the characters. From a completionist point of view you can still achieve max rank without actually owning him. Again, he was a reward for those true to the game. It needs to stay how it is. I have no problem with him being available in GW3. As for GW2 there was hype for the Uni in GW1, so people worked hard and got it done. Not everyone gets a trophy for attendance here. I'm just tired of seeing this pop up in forums. And I guarantee you if he was made available over 90% of players wouldn't touch him again after he got maxed out. I personally like him. But I can go weeks if not months without seeing him in a game. Not trying to be salty but this is the lot popcap handed us....and they did so well in advance. To most he's nothing more than a slap bracelet or fidget spinner, you gotta have him because you don't, but when you do you'll only play with him for a week.
