Well, most of the time, the best/favorite and why is the most important. But i will at least give my opinion of the strongest on both sides and why.
For the zombies: Professor Brainstorm.
Right now the Prof/Valk deck is real. Valkyrie, Teleporter, Lurch for Lunch are the engine of this deck, but the way the rest of the deck feeds into the power combo is the definition of synergy, and almost a guaranteed win. This deck is a well oiled machine.
Cell Phone Zombie, Kite Flyer, Regifting Zombie, Trick or Treater, Fun-dead Raiser, Telepathy and Eureka all provide for massive card draw. Disco Zombie and Brain Vender assure you can keep feeding your opponent weak zombies to kill. Barrel of Deadbeards and Fireworks Zombie all make sure that if your opponent can't kill them, you can. It's great against almost all decks, but it destroys control decks. They feed directly into what these players want.
For the plants: Captain Combustible.
I'm just going to show my deck. The synergy is on another level. Bananasaurus is as dangerous as ever, but CC takes Re-peat Moss to levels no other hero can. It can trash you completely in turn six. Every hero power is decent with it, 3 are legendary with it.
There just really aren't any plants you should feel comfortable letting sit a round, they're all urgent.

8 years agoI legit play with all 20 heroes on a regular basis. There are only 2-3 that I like less than others for various reasons.
My best deck would be control-Immorticia I'd say. But others are also very potent.
I also have a soft spot for Freeze-Rose.
