Did he come out during st. patricks day this year? Was making an OTK blob deck only to find he costs a helluva a lot of sparks

As far as I know, Event cards have their own rarity. I mean, there are "Rare" and "Super-Rare" event cards. That's why some of them cost 1,000 sparks and why others cost 2,000.
Thats not the reason why. They are first available to craft at 2000 no matter what the event card. The only ones that are still 2000 and haven't dropped to 1000 sparks, are the ones that were only available for real coin before being craftable.
