Who do you think the new metas going to be?
After the next update I think sunflower will be near the top. Imp will probably be ridiculous at first.

Space Station and Scientist will remain at top, if a few things don’t change with them.

- @El_Koopa_Kabra A "meta" in this game would be something that is undeniably the best something. In our current patch, Scientist is the meta. Cause he's the best guy ]:P
@El_Koopa_Kabra MCF pretty much explained it. It also can be who most people start choosing the most. Usually these characters are chosen based on how powerful they are. At launch it was engineers, super brainz, and acorns. Currently it seems to be scientists, and probably night caps. Tough to say on plant side.
@El_Koopa_KabraFunny story, I had to look this up last week when someone used it in connection to a game. Since it wasn't a game about being a game, it didn't make a whole lot of sense to me lol. Turns out it can actually be an acronym, "Most Effective Tactic Available (or Tactical Advantage)" and it often changes with balancing patches in games.
More on topic, I don't see any of the current changes bumping scientist/space station out either. But sometimes changes look a lot different once everyone starts playing them together.- @dwooten77 It's quite possibly only Nightcaps because of the character challenge, as well. I think it's interesting that as you said, it's tough to say which are the favoured plants. I know I don't have a real favourite anymore, peashooter is probably my closest atm, where it always used to be Sunflower or Rose.

Are they changing anything to Cpt. Deadbeard? If not, he's still too powerful especially on big maps (turf takeover) or maps with lots of open areas.
On defense, his parrot missiles and barrel blast can hold a point really well. Both moves are pretty much instant kills.
On attack, sniping and parrot missiles provide superior support.
- Just activate the parrot, aim (even from afar), and shoot the missiles. Once the missiles start flying, leave the parrot and resume sniping.
Have Critical Blow and Incoming Keg as the upgrades and you can rinse repeat, almost guaranteeing the top vanquish spot.
Cpt Deadbeard can get the parrot ability in less than 30 seconds and much sooner with Critical Blow.
Any enemy that comes close to Cpt Deadbeard and he can jump in the barrel, chase after them (and he's faster than them with incoming keg) and get the kill. It's also useful for running away really fast.
Over 150 hours in multiplayer and the top vanquishers I see are usually Deadbeard or Scientist.
