Why can't Superbrainz shoot in mid-air?

In Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 there is a character Superbrainz as you well know. I do not understand why he is the only character that can't shoot while in mid-air. If he can't shoot he should at least be able to punch while jumping. I hope you add this in as a change because this will make many of my friends who play the game happy and make many others proud too. If you do not add this in on ALL Superbrainz variants I hope there is a variant that can shoot in mid-air. If you make this variant a thing I would be glad to test it out for you and give you my feedback on the character. The character could be a western sort of guy just like the cactus variant.
