Why do EA purposely don't add Split-Screen Co-Op for PC?

I recently bought PvZ: Garden Warfare 2 to play it with my brother, and I found that the local Co-Op it's only available for console users.
And the bad thing is that it isn't the only game, every game that have an local Co-Op option on console, doesn't have it on PC, when definitely isn't a computing power issue.
I use my PC as a game center, so I don't have the need of buying a game console, and I'm not gonna do it just for play a game on local Co-Op that can be perfeclty played on PC with an Xbox controller, and it's a shame that they do not add or deactivate that function, privating us from the full game capabilities.

We're paying a full game, and that conduct borders on illegal, such as fraud.
