I have lost. A lot. But I take my losses and queue up for the next loss. Why do people rage quit instead of concede? What really bugs me about people rage quitting is it forces the player to be locked into the game until the player disconnects. If there was a way for the game to quickly determine when someone disconnected to avoid the loss rage quits would not bother me at all. Like put in checks like if player health is low and the attacks of the cards on the board are collectively higher than heroes health as soon as player misses a ping immediately disconnect them. Then rage quits would not suck.

In general I feel that if one player is playing quite quickly and the other player is taking forever that the slow player should have their time shortened... It's frustrating to know you're going to win (or even lose!) but be at the mercy of the other player taking their sweet time... Even in the final round where it's clear that one side can't effect the outcome enough to not die, the player with no cards and no chance can just run the clock out and finally allow the outcome to come to conclusion! I've had quite a few battles where I had 1 health, no Super Block left and the other player was going to do 10+ points of damage, yet they still play a few more cards! Especially when I'm the Plant Hero and I'm played out, playing a few more tricks that means that zombies after the one doing the final hit get bonuses is just ridiculous... or killing off a plant in a lane past what will be the killing stroke...

Because they are childish. There is not another way to see it. Yes, the game DOES suck a lot of the time. When the block meter doesn't help you and you lose without blocking once. When the enemy topdecks an answer. When the enemy destroys your strategy. When you lose on turn 4. Or simply when you just lose. It sucks. But it is as simple as just move on into the next game. The people that cannot do that, are the one who rage quits.

When people quit it takes about 30 seconds for them to be disconnected. That's not long at all and to ask the developers to shorten that time seems kind of ridiculous. It is really annoying when people wait until the turn timer is almost out before they do anything on every turn. It makes the game take a really long time. I just embrace it when they take a long time every turn and do it back to them. I figure if I have to wait for them to drag out their turn then I'm gonna make them have to wait too.

A reason I think they listen is look at the tweaks they did to the Event Cards. Used to cost 2000 for the first card. There are a couple of cards that I only have 1 or 2 cards. I think EA should start a system where the winner gets a reward if someone has left the game (either rage quit or loss of signal) instead of playing it out or conceeding. If the rage quitters know that the other person will get an extra reward when they rage quit, I bet they won’t do it as often, and if they do then at least the person who is stuck waiting gets something for their waste of time. Also, I’ve played against people who run down the clock and then hit play at the very last second, and they do it several times in a game, like they are trying to win by getting the other player to quit by taking a long time. When someone does this and it gets to the timer three times during a game, then the other player should also get something extra for that as well.
Something small like five gems would be enough to make me not so annoyed when people rage quit, and would likely stop a lot of players from doing it!

I disagree on the rewarding the winner for their opponents immaturity. Instead, those who are disconnecting rather than just conceding should be penalized in some way and that will make it less likely to happen aside from actual bad connection.
Don't know what could be implemented, because in league play it could be a loss of extra stars, but when you are just starting a new level, you can't lose anything. And in casual it would still be happening and that is where the problem is...
Some games like the baseball game I used to play, if you d/ced then the following game all your players lose half their health, which would actually affect your next few games, unless you sacrificed a couple pitchers to be down to almost zero...and that makes them useless for like half a dozen games.
Obviously not the same scenario, but it worked for people purposely pulling the plug, but if the game is laggy or like sometimes in pvzh just kicks you out, you are still penalized the same as if you did it purposely, which is why I had to quit being out in the boonies, we had slow internet connection and if lots of people were on, you could tell and it was just too frustrating.
But I hope that something eventually happens to possibly prevent the rage-quit

I originally thought that too, but the issue with that is, people may get punished for a bad connection (like if the power goes out, that would look just like someone quit) or people will just come back and say ‘I didn’t mean to, it was an accident.’ When I first started playing the game I had Lots of games that ended because of connection issues, and sometimes the game would just boot me out. It’s just easier to award extra stuff to the person who has to sit and wait. Obviously this would only be in random games, not when people are playing against friends.

When you play vs friends you don't even win tickets for the event cards, which is bunk in my opinion.
And I get what you are saying, it would be overloading the customer service with complaining about it not my fault....

That’s why I don’t accept friend requests unless it’s someone I actually know, (and I don’t know maybe people who play this game) there’s really no point. But that’s probably a good thing, so kids aren’t friending strangers and stuff.
