Why does my game make me replay the intro mission every time I start it up?

Ever since the 1.02 update on my PS4, every time I connect to EA servers I'm forced to play the beginning intro mission. This occurs when I start up the game, disconnect from the internet and reconnect, or are removed from my back yard because I set my controller down for a bit. While the intro mission isn't difficult, it is still frustrating to be forced to play it over and over again, with no one else I know experiencing this.
