Why does the cactus do less than the pirate

They both do 98 on a fully charged crit shot, 65 on a fully charged non-crit.

The drones need work in general; they move too slowly, the garlic drone always jerks when you fire the strike ability off, making it highly inaccurate.

@marche567Would love to see it nerfed to lower damage while buffing his shotgun for close range fights. Personally enjoy him as a close range character more so than sniper.
Would be nice if they gave him upgrades that nerf his sniper while buffing his shotgun or something.

Love running in flanking with barrel, going for hit and run's and finishing people off with shotgun and then running away spamming the parrot on cooldown because eggsplosion is blatantly overpowered

The cactus drone's damage should hit like the parrot's does:  one burst followed by smaller busts.  The way it is now, zombies can HEAR it start up, and sprint away and only get hit with one or maybe two of the "bulbs".  It needs to be a surprise attack like the parrot's.

So many heavily opinionated people with characters not maxed out.

I say this knowingly because anyone with a maxed Cactus won't complain about Pirate having any advantages (hence my avatar).

Enable the Cactus upgrade that temporarily allows fully charged shots after flying.  If you scope in quickly enough, you can unload a FULL CLIP (8 shots) of fully charged sniper rifle.  8 x 98 = the highest DPS in franchise history, I believe (just behind BfN's upgraded Citron beam).

The drones seem unfair, granted, but I'd rather have 8 fully charged shots every time I've just flown.

.... which will inevitably lead to another huge issue - when the majority of the community starts to max out their Cactus and realize how glitchy it becomes after flight and aiming down sight.... super broken character that only works as intended (maybe) 50% of the time.

I wish more people would max out their characters before weighing in on balancing (nothing new here).

There were no upgrades available for the parrot drone, so I'm going to guess there are no upgrades for the cactus drone?  

I'm just not sure that balancing complaints aren't also valid before maxing out the characters. Obviously the upgrades are going to make some people's characters more useful than yours if you don't have them maxed but there should be some balance between characters on the same level. I think people are noticing that when playing their own characters. With level upgrades being so different for each character at each level, it would be a hard task. However, they kinda set themselves up for that when they did upgrades in this way. I guess I'm saying balance belongs at all levels, not just end game.

Edit - personally, I never expected a great deal of balance in this game and I'm not even really advocating all that hard for it. Neither GW game felt particularly "balanced" and I think balance is going to mean hugely different things for different people.

Edit 2 - I wouldn't want to tell someone that is looking for balanced gameplay that they should buy the game, play for 60+ hours and that by then their characters should balance out more. I don't play a ton of PvP so that may be a reasonable amount of time to play before seeing some balance between characters of the same level. I don't really focus on that much myself, I just thought it was reasonable to expect balance throughout a game if that was a goal. I like playing with my kids and we play the characters that we find fun and fit our playstyle, balanced or not. It's also part of the reason private games could be more fun, but that's a whole other thread topic. (Also took out direct @)

To date, I've only taken down a fully loaded Space Station with Cactus and Citron.  Had both these characters not been maxed, I would've believed they were underwhelming.

In either case, I fully respect those who oppose my opinions. 😬

Balancing with anything in mind but maxed characters boggles my mind.
