Why is it so easy to revive in PvZ: BfN?
Hello everyone, hope you're all having a great time! 🙂
As a person who really enjoys to revive other allies, I've noticed that, if comparing GW2 to BFN, that in BFN, it's generally really easy to revive allies (especially if playing as a Support). Being able to revive and slowly move around instead of being rooted to the spot while doing so is really good as you're that little bit harder to be hit.
Has everyone seen those revive upgrades (most notable for supports)? Being able to use Arcane Enigma as a rose and revive at the same time, with the Super Saviour upgrade, it's so good and fun to do, yet so overpowered. Or being able to jump as well. 1 cost upgrade - free revive every 20 seconds! Being able to stun nearby plants with Engineer while reviving. Giving the healers those revive upgrades as well, they can be very powerful. There are so many revive upgrades for all characters as well which makes reviving easier (great in combos). Upgrades like "Revive Reward" and "Refreshing Revive" can also be really good.
I think it's excellent, but possibly a little bit too overpowered!
Thoughts, anyone? 😃
- @TheSprinter85 I have the opposite view, I'm afraid! Sorry - I do LOVE that you enjoy reviving though!! 😍
There's a little trick with reviving in the GW games that most of us call a "jump revive".
If you hit A to jump at the same time as holding B to revive, while keeping a forward movement going, you can move away from the player you're reviving. (I might have to double-check that next time I go in, I do it on autopilot now! 🤣)
This enables you to still revive but get to a safer position, and in GW2 this is even better than it was in GW. In GW, you move away from the player you're reviving, but they are revived in the same spot they were vanquished. In GW2, the player gets revived in the same place you move to, so they are safer as well.
I miss this feature SOOOOO much!!! If you get a chance, you should give it a try in GW2 in solo play - it's initially a bit tricky getting the timing & your finger-work right but well worth the practice!!! 👍
