Why nerf the Tank Commander?

I don't understand why PopCap felt the need to nerf the Tank Commander. I can understand the (hopefully) slight damage reduction for Iron Citron, because Citron is receiving a major buff and it is a hitscan weapon that has an increased hitbox, but the Tank Commander? His rocket launcher fired a projectile and it is a tracing round, so it's less then ideal for sniping. Additionaly, the Footsoldier doesn't even get anything to compensate. And who has ever complained about the Tank Commander (and Iron Citron)? Their have been complaints about the Park Ranger, the Scuba Soldier and the Camo Ranger, but never ever about the Tank Commander (well, appart from Zaheen, who has made the effort to label every Zombie as OP). I want an explanation, it doesn't need to be detailed, but just some logical and rational arguments why the Tank Commander deserves a nerf.

  • is maybe because of he double reload and he weapon deal 70 dmg upclose, maybe that the reason he get a nerf, he was was kinda annoying in gw1

To be honest i though he was of those variations like General Commando/Centurion to deserve a buff not a nerf...

I'm playing him recently and i feel he's orrible. But i'll unlock the reload upgrades to understand if he deserve or not before saying something specific.

Anyway no, imho he could stay .. he's a damage dealer backline with a huge ranged damage drop off.. seriously :v he's not seriously breaking the game..

Well, if you manage to get the reload and damage upgrades before the update, you will get a character that fires 70-45 damage rounds at a decent rate of fire. The Tank Commander has always been a high skill, high reward class, but most peoe snipe with the splash damage at lässt nge range instead of going for direct hits at close range. My bigest problem with the stupid idea of nerfing him is that this nerf hits a character that rewards a skilled and accruate player that can lead rockets and not the super low skill, too high reward variants.

Yeah very few people play with Tank Commander. When I play with him, I feel less effective and usually end up switching.

  • I feel bad for the tank commander. There is the scuba solider that has 2 bullets taking 50 and a sonar effect and they choose to nerf the tank commander.
