Will there be any updates coming out soon?

I'm just wondering if this game is a finished game now, I don't know when the last update was, but I was away several months(because I got bored) and don't think anything has changed at all which frustrates me a little bit because I feel like this game has a lot of potential. I have this relationship with this game since several years already, playing the game coz it's fun, after a while get bored, leave the game for a few months, come back to check if anything has changed and the cycle starts again.

1) There should be a way to get more gems as a F2P because once you've reached season lv 40+ you can't get much more gems for the whole rest of the season. I'm now at 42 and I'm coming up against decks with 10+ legendaries and I'll have to wait until the season ends to be able to get new packs to improve my deck which means if I'm lucky +1 legendary.

2) Rewards are also a bit outdated, like very little reward for a lot of time invested into the game.

3) These zombies and plants missions are quite pointless, would be cool if you could get some kind of reward for each stage, like gems, cards or packs or some new hero which needs to be unlocked by doing these missions.

4) New heroes, new cards or just balancing a few cards in general would be nice.

5) Maybe add another online game mode besides ranked, like tournament style where you can also get prices, which maybe even needs like 5 gems as an entrance fee.

Would be amazing to get a reply from someone from EA or Popcap not sure who's responsible for these kind of requests.
