in my opinion, wizard is broken. Is really hard to kill a playwe with a wizard in his head and i think that the passive upgrades that wizard gives are op too. In this period there are a lot of lobbies with 4/12 wizard players in zombie site. This really broke gameplay and is not funny.
Imo, Wizard is a balanced character, providing great offensive support for teammates. The only thing that is probably a little bit busted is Spell Disaster having almost-guaranteed chance to vanquish Acorn and Nightcap. If you're having trouble beating Wizard, I recommend learning matchups and counters. Citron is pretty good against Wizard. When Wizard does a Zee-lixir and Spell Disaster combo, most plants are defenseless and can't use abilities, therefore they are forced to take damage. Citron can still use shield to stop Spell Disaster, despite being under the effects of Zee-lixir. Wizard has no other means of evasive abilities so use EMPeach to finish him before he uses co-star. Wizards in Co-Star mode can easily be ejected be Cactus, Acorn and Oak. Cactus can do 98 damage with a max charge critical shot to instantly eject Wizard. Acorn and Oak both can use Sap Trap. Well-placed Sap Traps and can also instantly eject Wizard. There are definitely other counters, I've just listed a few. Hope this helps 😉
I feel like Wizard is actually surprisingly balanced, the only nerf it would need is spell disaster, since it’s literally impossible to avoid unless you are a citron... It’s really easy to counter co-star, since the orb has only 64 hp, I knock it off right away, then quickly kill the wizard while he’s stunned with one shot (While using cactus)
I also think when going into co-star, the amount of health wizard should have should correspond to the amount it has currently, similar to acorn turning into oak. This is to avoid wizards cheating death.
To be honest, I was quite disappointed by Wizard. I spent a good $20 on leveling up in the Prize Map due to the hype, and he wasn't even that good. His primary weapon is pretty useless and the Zee-lixir is more of a Rose counter than an evasive maneuver! The Spell Disaster is pretty easy to escape unless you are ambushed by a Wizard and the Co Star is about the best thing in his kit. It's basically a better primary weapon plus an okay escape, but you have very little health and the star is only for a limited time. He is probably one of my bottom tier characters and the only things going for him are the fact that he can counter all of Rose's abilities and his Co Star weapon is actually quite good.
Spell disaster should only do 70 each. Give the 75hp character a chance
