I was finally lucky enough to get the last legendary character piece and unlock the Iron Citron; to my surprise, this was the most disappointing and frustrating playable class ever. Not only the insignificant damage and overall speed but the fire rate is abysmal. I personally think the idea behind the design is great, but the dreadful performance makes it unplayable.
Shockingly unfair.
Any tips on how to approach this metallic blob ?

I really didn't want to post or say anything because everyone will use it, but try sniping with it.
Upgrades allow you to add Super Meter/Speed and 2x Reload upgrades which make it fire pretty fast. I thought it sucked at first too but I mastered it yesterday with the help of 200 stars and well, when you're in Iron Mode then you go on the offensive, either to capture a point or go for a Mech, as the weapon is called the Mech Breaker.
I haven't been able to do it online yet as I'm not really a fan of sniping with a controller, but I love the potential it has. Nothing is going to cheap shot you in this, and if you get into trouble or get ambushed just roll out and find another sniper spot lol. I think I may be playing it wrong but hey, just watch how fast that bullet travels. 😉

Worst character is Rose shortly followed by Cactus and Sunflower - most of them are just free kills.
Well, whem I used it at my friend's house, we tried to get into 1v1 close quarters situations against anything that wasn't an All-Star or Super Brainz and to stun them before they could react. Then, they were easy targets that only needed 1 or 2 shots to finish. It was a risky strategy and when we missed the EMPeach, we had to retreat, but the Iron mode was an awesome reward. You become a God of destruction and murder and can easily kill every Zombie, including Z-Mechs, if you played your cards right.
My pick for the worst character would be the Hockey-Star

Again...you need to learn how to use him...he's a veeeeery strong character and doesn't play like a typical run and gun at all. He actually requires good aim and you have to learn how to lead your shots. Everyone called Electro Citron * too but he's also an extremely strong character that requires aim/well lead shots AND you having to pre-charge your shots before going toe to toe with anyone.
Iron is a character I'm more than comfortable with when it comes to fighting close up against a scientist since he can two shot him and stun him to make sure he doesn't go anywhere.
Oh the iron citron is very strong there is currently a glitch to make it the best plant ever. Pm me for more info
At first the iron citron is weak with its mech breaker that takes 36 max to mech and 50 to anything without armor (really why?) Once you get the 2 reload upgrades and speed boost it gets really strong. All other upgrades are trash. Legendary upgrade still takes 5 kills in multiplayer to get legendary mode.
@ShavedThronel0Yup I keep hearing Iron Citron is really bad until you are able to get his reload upgrades and then he is amazing, One day I hope to unlock him to experiment abit more with him, but he if anything he looks awesome as well.
I never heard of this Iron Citron Glitch though. Probably do to with his Iron mode.
A bad variant imo is Chomp Thing, low health, low spray damage it makes no sense why this poor Chomper is like this.
I would like like to see him receive abit of love in the future.

@MoonLiteWolf fire rate seems extremely low, at least that's the sensation i get without any upgrades

Check this video of Iron Citron to see how good he can be with the reload upgrades.
You must have a * ping if you need to lead shots with it :P
Go to your backyard battleground and face towards the zombie side, and hit them two lamps op really high up on each side and watch how fast that bulletin travels,nits so fast it is like it doesn't even fire at all.
@Zaheen1337 You need to lead shots with a lot of characters. Not saying he shots slow, but a lot of characters do move very fast. It's best to lead with a lot of characters...
