Zombie turkey causes block meter to stop working

    and further to the response from @GrinningRuiner - there are decks built around flooding your opponents hand so that they can't block. 

    (which is what you encountered)

That is a mechanic of the game.

A player cannot block when they have the maximum of ten cards in their hand.
