What is a good Chompzilla deck? Can I make a decent one even if I don't have Espresso Fiesta and Bananasaurus?
Banana is probably a key card to be honest, I managed to get two of them but no Chompzilla.
Rank 50+307 stars is impressive, but you can't possibly know what's under any gravestone, at best you can take guesses based on the brains available and that's it.
I think part of why Zombies seem overpowered at first is that their decks are bottom heavy, that is to say that their basic and uncommon cards are cheap with good abilities (deadly, gravestones, bounce plants, bonus attack) but their legendaries are all high cost cards (trickster, zomboss, gargantuar feast) but the plants their basic and uncommon cards are nothing special but they have some really good cheap SR+legendarys so while you may find it hard to keep up with the basic cards you start out with, it gets easier as you start to collect SR and legendarys but when for the zombies it gets harder because the plants start to have good cheap cards.

Playing against gravestones is similar to playing against counterspells or instants in MTG. In MTG you can usually tell if a control player has a counterspell based on the mana available then cards they have already played and the type of deck they are playing. A pro can often tell what cards are in an opponent's hand based on previous plays and game states.
Guessing what is under a grave stones work very similarly. You have a a number of hints: the location where they placed it, relative to where your plants are, the amount of brains left, the avatar and the cards that were played before, the deck strategy (are they imps? are they pirates?) and other subtler things. I'm still not particularly good at guessing, but I do understand the theory behind it, just haven't really memorized all the cards properly.
I am just going to go ahead and say......
Plants legendaries are mostly TERRIBLE. The only two that I can think of playing are the great zucchini in a super controlly citron, and the three headed chomper. The rest of them are super meh. I have a hard time wanting to include any plant legendary.
On the contrary, Zombies need the super expensive legends because they are more likely to stick around, or else plants will just combo w.e they want and they can remove everything, and the tricks become trivial because of that. It is much easier to build a board as a plant because of that.
I have a lot of success with just rare or below cards in plant decks, where as a zombie i have a really hard time (i basically have to tryhard every time), if I don't have legendaries.
I have found the opposite. Plants have some really good SR and Legendaries that aren't too expensive. Zombies have some good ones but they generally cost 6+ sun whereas plants have a lot of cheaper SR and legendaries that can turn the tide of battle quickly.
