17 attack Zomblob... with a bonus attack of 1. Monument triggers before the buff. So deal with it, and stop complaining.

There wasn't a monument in play on that screen shot, so whats up?

It was the classic Zomblob attack, all during tricks. So bonus attack was 17, then regular attack.In the 5th round. No chance for me to defend.

Yes I can complain less if you command sir.

Oh and the cool kid store called and their running out of you.

We are all facing the same problems. There is no strategy to face those additional attack

I think the new cards were not sufficiently tested.

No, dude... we both missed the boat on this one. Read the whole thread. This user is complaining about Zomblob and bonus attacking but not Monument, specifically.

Also, stop complaining about Monument. Unless you want me to walk you through all the ways that all the fusion cards can be used, and all the fusion cards that have higher average utility than Monument.

As for Zomblob... it is the win condition for certain types of Brainy Combo decks. A win condition should win you games, when it works. Unless you want to argue that zombies shouldn’t be allowed to win games.

Before you knock it, I suggest you play the enemy for a bit and actually try to win with zomblob. You typically bleed card advantage to get him going, and sometimes even when you do your opponent has a quick answer. And you lose. Then sometimes he gets going, and you win games. That’s what a win condition is supposed to do.

Personally, it SEEMS a lot easier just to stick a Star Fruit in an open lane for 10 total damage without effort or deck support, or on top of a Pumpkin Shell for 20 total damage turn 5. I say seems because I don’t own a Starfruit and can’t try it. But turn 5-6 is a typical “going off” point for both Plant & Zombie “combo”/aggro decks (Knuckles has win by turn six as a goal mission, for instance).

As for bonus attacks and card draw, zombies are not the side with an on-curve Party Thyme. Neither do they have access to Double Strike, which is basically built-in bonus attacking. When you’re winning the game, big numbers are overrated... a 17-attack Zombies does not have more utility than a 10-attack double-striking plant, or a 7-attack plant hitting in three lanes, or a 4-attack plant hitting in 5 lanes. All of these are possibilities I have seen actualized... many times, as they have all beaten me and I could do nothing about them.

Last point. You act like a trick phase is a strict advantage, but it’s not. There is an opportunity cost. You have to do a lot more anticipating, and then you sometimes lose the opportunity to play cards via the action of Forget-Me-Nuts, Brainana, or Dragonfruit (all common in the meta, two in the same class)... or because the objects you intended to play tricks on are no longer available (can’t roll a boulder after buff, can’t buff a zombie that’s been blown up). Zombies don’t get the brains back to play zombies when they hold them up for tricks. We just lose them.

In the photo example, I’m guessing this guy would be down a turn had you bounced or eaten his gravestone. He took a chance. It worked.

When combo decks work, they can beat anything. When they fail, they tank hard.

I say if you want a trick phase so badly, have it. Just give us at least three ways to take it away from you again. Oh, and you can’t buff or augment plants at all until OUR trick phase. Deal? (I jest... but I would consider this deal, if it were one I was able to offer...)

Please let us know a way to deal with a 2 cost card having 1/5 stats and letting you to struck a deadly attack.

Or you could bounce it using the plethora of bounce plant options, if you feel so inclined.

If you’re trying to prevent a deadly zombie from dealing damage to your plant? Now you’re just asking for a 2-for-1. Stop being greedy. (If your opponent is using deadly + monument to kill a plant on the same turn.. isn’t this EXACTLY like using an Eyespore?)

Try astromushroom

Put grotto and generate few button mushroom which act as buffer without killing the zombie. Astro will start to damage the Prof.

For each mushroom for two on grotto astro will do 4 damages.

Evolve mushroom eg. with cromagnolia. Astro will do additional damages.


Try to have 3 lane full of zombies and play wallnut.


And finally trow anything you have (berries, trick) against the prof.
