Hello! Thanks for sharing how you’re feeling about the newer levels. I understand how frustrating it can be when levels feel a bit too hard.
Most modern games are built around a level‑based structure. Early levels act as an onboarding phase where players learn the basics and get comfortable with the mechanics. As you move forward, new elements and challenges are introduced to keep the gameplay interesting as the game grows.
Later levels are designed to bring in more complex challenges for players who’ve already mastered the earlier ones. That progression helps keep the experience fresh and engaging over time. The intention is not to pressure players into spending, but rather to provide a difficulty level that aligns with the skills that seasoned players have developed over time.
"...the new levels are so difficult that I am continually spending a large amount of coins to finish a level. Geez, throw me a bone once in awhile."
Pogo is a free browser-based gaming site, with the option to become a Club Pogo Member. That being said, they indeed do "throw a few bones" our way. As a Pogo player myself, here is my best advice on this topic - Log in and complete the daily challenges to earn free coins, go back to earlier levels to try and gain 3 stars for even more free coins, patiently build up your stack to an amount you feel comfortable with. My favorite powerups to combine when I need them - Blazing Steed (horseshoe) with the Hyper Swapper for board destruction! If you have made it to the higher levels, I am confident that you can complete the newer ones as well 🙂
Lastly at times there are Pogo players uploading their games to YouTube, this is a great way to see how others are getting through those more difficult levels and don't forget to visit the Pogo Forums for this specific game: Games Forums Home | Bejeweled Stars this is another great place to read or ask about hints, tips and strategies!
