Is it possible to take the timer off scrabble completely?
My partner and I don't like playing with a timer as he is learning. It wouldn't let me unselect the timer option when setting up my game, so I instead set it to 10min time limit per turn. Throughout the game it kept kicking us out of our game for being "inactive" even though we were clicking various buttons consistently (mix, 2-letter word list, etc). We just weren't actually taking turns as frequently. This did not happen when there was only a 2min time limit.

It's not possible to remove the timer, however you can adjust how long the timer is (from 45 seconds to 10 minutes), or if you want to go a game limit timer (5, 10 or 25 minutes) instead of turn timer. You can find these settings in the Advanced Game Options under Game Settings when setting up a table.
