Merge Academy bonus item collection

Why has my Workshop bonus item collection timer been reset to 24 hours? All the other rooms allow for a bonus item to be collected once every 12 hours but the workshop has recently reset to 24 hours. This bug seems to correspond with the latest updates to Merge Academy.

Can you get the 12 hour timer back in Merge Academy after using the "skip timer" button? Skipping the timer caused the trash can at the Entrance to change to a 24 hour timer. I love the game, but feel really cheated that I can now only get a 24 hour timer.
