I understand your frustration - losing access to an account can be extremely stressful, especially after spending 2+ hours trying to fix it. You're absolutely right that you shouldn't have to pay for help recovering a paid account.
Unfortunately, for security reasons, email/password changes and account recovery MUST be handled through EA Help's secure system - we do not have access to account systems in the public forums, and handling login credentials publicly would be unsafe.

Unfortunately, bad actors try and access other players accounts, so knowing specific information about the account is imperative to prove you are the real owner. EA Support can merge/update email addresses with proper verification.

Another Option: Try Account Recovery on your own (you must have access to the emails)
Go to Pogo.com and click "Sign In"
Click "Forgot Your Password?"
Try BOTH the old and new email addresses
Check spam/junk folders for reset emails
