You are correct. When it goes from 1 to 0, that should be the last customer that arrives for that level.
Is there a specific level you're encountering more customers coming in after it has already hit 0? I'll be happy to take a look.

It goes from 2 to 0 on any level that has "customers," and usually 2 more customers show up while it's on 0. Stays at 1 when it's a bear level. Thanks!

As you mentioned it occurred for you with any level, I tested on levels 9, 24 and 39, all levels with waiting customers. In my tests, no additional customers came after the count went to 0.
Could you give one example level where you experienced it? I'd like to look a bit deeper to see if we can track down what's going on. If you could share the cookie colors that you experience during the level, that can help, as well, as each level has a set number of cookies of each type that need cleared.
For example, for level 9, I show at the start:

Okay, first off, I'm female, but EA has assigned a guy's face to my posts lol NP, it's happened before, tho SandSoBe sounds female to me. Anyway ... Thanks so much for the specificity of your reply!!! If there was that kind of info available on "how to play" or the forum (not that I found after extensive searches, and no one answered me, which is very odd for a forum post), I might have not gotten so frustrated at times. I did go to level 9 first, and have exactly the same start as you listed. However, the confusion is mine .... I did not take the counter as pertaining to unseen waiting customers!! (Yes, even tho there are three "faces" but a '2' on the counter, which I've never really noticed - I moreso noticed the counter going to 0 at the same time more faces showed up, which I found odd (how can there be more customers when the counter shows a 0?!) I don't know why, but it just has never clicked on that, and I'm actually a good "figure-outer-er" (maybe I'm just too logical/detailed? Libra traits.) So, I don't necessarily like that there are so many "customers" on some of the levels, but I actually am happy to find out how it works. I very much dislike not being able to know the "nitty-gritty" about something I use/deal with, and will "dig" for a long time for reasons for stuff. If I run into other issues that seem to have no solution, I now know where to go to get one! (No, I'm not going to bug you now that I've found you! ;-) Again, thanks so much! Stay safe!!!

As for your avatar, new AHQ posters get a random one from the system when they first log in, however you can update that at any time and there's a large selection to choose from. 🙂

Yes, I used the avatars when first needed to. I'm using my mini now, and didn't think those new pogo avatars were connected to the EA site avatars argh and d'oh, even!
