I apologize for any confusion.

You didn't lose the ranks from the Flash version of Rainy Day Spider Solitaire. The ranks still exist on your account, and in your badge history. Your rank 50 in the Flash version is not going away.

The HTML5 version of Rainy Day Spider Solitaire HD behaves like a new game. So yes, you do have to rank up in the HD version, but that just means you get twice the rank badges because you'll have the Flash ranks and the HD ranks.
