losing my "won" scores in Canasta

I have been dreading to write because it is a process that is a waste of my time, and I cannot really prove.  Your scoring system has a horrible glitch, and it is so unfair.  I always have let it go, but every day that I play, I take three steps forward and two steps backward.  I win quite often, and for the amount of games I play, both daily and weekly, my cumulative score should be much higher, and definitly beyond beginner, which I still am.  I have spoken to other players, so I know I am not the only one.  I have delayed writing because I keep thinking your system will improve, and the scoring system will become improved.

So, the bottom line of the issue is that I win a game, I can see my new score, and then a screen pops up that says “waiting for players”. I can see behind this banner, that I have a new opponent, and a hand of new cards,  There is no way to get to the hand (believe me, I have tried pressing every button).

After 30ish seconds, the timer runs out, and I just lost my win.  That isn’t all.  In order to avoid the banner I just described, I have tried to exit completely beforehand, and come back in as a new player.  I have done this in 3 different ways:  1. “stand” after a won game 2. “x” out at the top of my screen  3. Select “leave table” instead of “play again”.  There is no getting around this flaw, and I can never advance, because I lose my recent wins.

I took one screen shot, so you can possibly see one of the problems I described.  You have to look close because it is dark behind the banner, but that is the problem…..my game and timer are advancing.

I hope I have given you enough information for you to look into this.  I don’t want to waste my valuable play time to keep writing to you.

  • Hey @amastercanaster

Wanted to confirm if this is still happening? If so does it seem to be every game, or occasionally?

If possible can you try going through our HTML5 troubleshooting to see if this keeps happening? If so let us know and if others are having this issue, you can let them know to post in this thread as well.

    Regards,

  • WE have on many occasions have we expressed our frustrations with the scoring system. How it is so programmed no one advances to intermediate and if you do no one will be joining as there are so few!  The background while host is so dark and the third player is behind a screen once 4th player joins. Why didn’t you keep the old format?  We could see the tables available the ratings of each player before you joined. Blocking someone isn’t the answer if you’re being stalked harassed etc as they have access to your table and can say whatever they please and you can’t see what they are saying. Has any of your programmers ever try and play the game of canasta ???
